Christa Pike back in prison — sudden discharge from hospital and questions about another execution

This episode getting into the latest on the Christa Pike situation. She is now out of the hospital and back in the prison. Uh the latest on her condition, what may

happen next legally. Uh and then also supporters of the victim here, Colleen Surmer and her family and why they want another execution. I'm getting into all of it in this episode of Brian Investments. All right, so let me give you the latest on the Christa Pike situation, which has taken some interesting twists and turns. She she's

now out of the hospital and remember she was at Vanderbilt Medical Center recovering. She had been given the two doses of Penttobarbatl. Uh she was she was supposed to be killed. She was supposed to be executed [clears throat] and she survived. She was initially on the ventilator and then um the ventilator was taken off. She was able

to to breathe on her own and talk. Then we found out that she was standing up and walking. And now her lawyers say that she is out of the hospital and she is back at the prison where all of this uh began. So really within about a week's time she went from this botched

execution to being back at the prison. And the big question which I'm going to get into in this episode of course is is what happens next? She's back at the Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, by the way, which is where she'd been held before her planned execution. It's it's a women's prison there, um, in

Tennessee. This is interesting. You guys might remember last week I interviewed Dr. Bill Kimberlin, who's a psychologist who studies people on, uh, death row. He had a source, a s he does have a source, someone who's close to Christa Pike, who shared this screen grab from a message. You know, she has this tablet in prison
