The car had rolled out of the driveway, and that was it. Now his brother's gone. What's it like walking around that it's your fault, not just what happened to your oldest, but that you could be accountable for anything that happens to this [music] other human being? >> [laughter] >> It's so heavy. You are not trapped. What becomes
available? Freedom. Yeah. You get to breathe. You get to feel, and you get to be free. Thank you, Peter. Hi, this is Peter Crone, and you're listening to another episode of Finding Freedom. In today's episode, I had the opportunity to speak with an extraordinary woman called Corey, who has arguably had one of the most tragic
childhoods and lives that any of us will have listened to, and went through probably the worst thing any parent could experience, which is the loss of a child. But, as is always the case, the worst thing that we all come up against is our own perspective, not only of life, but predominantly ourselves. I
hope by the end of this episode, you will hear that she literally has stepped into a new world where she sees the [music] opportunity to be free, at peace, and to live in a world of pure possibility. I've never considered myself to be a victim of circumstance. >> [music] >> I developed superpowers very early on.
My first superpower was to be strong for everyone and be whatever they needed me to be. Then the second power was patience. I think my main issue is feeling unsafe. I have two children, one who would have been 18 this year, and one who's 14. We lost my older one in an accident in
the driveway that I couldn't save him from. What is it that kind of inspired you to reach out that I might be able to help you with? So, um it all revolves around losing my son. We lost him about eight years ago, and I used the language lost even though it's not because I think that we lost him.
