[Music] if I was to start again Ask a beginner in wedding film making this would be the five tips I wish I knew to make a cinematic wedding film because over the last 4 years I've been on this journey of becoming an established wedding filmmaker in Sydney and I had to work hard to transform my films from this
into this and during these four years I experienced countless failures rejection self-doubt and that's why I created these tapes for you guys so make sure you watch all the way to the end because if you miss one of these tips your wedding films would not be as good as it can be tip number one incorporate slow
motion into your films slow motion is what gives your film that dreamy cinematic Feeling by slowing down a specific moment you're allowing the couple to immerse themselves in the short that being said if something is amazing that doesn't mean you should overuse it if you have a wedding film where all the shorts are in slow motion
it is just a plain old boring Montage of moments instead think about the feeling that you're creating when you're slowing down shorts like when the bride walks down the aisle and sees her future husband that is an incredibly emotional moment almost like in that moment itself time slowed down for them and that's why
I love to apply slow motion here another great use of slow motion is when the couple is walking out of the ceremony there's normally a lot of cheering laughing and parles flying around and slowing down this moment just makes it so magical to watch and the last example I want to bring up is Bridal portraits
this is where we'll take the couple out and get some alone time with them look I don't recommend slowing down every short in Bridal portraits because there's some moments that just looks fantastic in 25 frames but just slowing down some of the couple's movements can really bring a dreamy romantic Vibe into your film now
