Drug interactions refer to therapeutic or pharmacodynamic interactions. Often, when a doctor prescribes drugs to a patient, it's not usually just one drug, depending on the case. Sometimes, the condition requires the doctor to prescribe a group of medications. This could be an antibiotic, a blood sugar regulator, a heart regulator, blood pressure medication, or a diuretic.
