can do what is customer journey analytics to someone who's looking for analytics help what does that mean so i think if i had to say it in just a couple sentences it is reframing measuring your marketing instead of in terms of finance it's framing it in terms of the customer journey so it's

framing it in terms of marketing content and the customer journey why does that feel so hard to measure so if again probably lots of reasons but if you had to pick one the platforms that we use encourage us to measure how we spend money especially the paid platforms how we spend money and how they return dollars to us so

they're telling us measure the beginning and the end not the middle because they want to prove their value to us so i think that we're trained by our platforms to think like like the accounting team about this instead of like the marketers okay so there's a lot of sas products out there that talk

about customer journey analytics and offer all kinds of stuff that go along with it what's up with those well i mean i think there's a little bit of history here that we started 20 years ago in the web measuring just web behavior and now we have apps and mobile experiences and now that's

blended across a bunch of different devices and so i think that new platforms are calling themselves customer journey platforms but the point is the customer journey is not owned by the tool the customer journey is owned by the marketing team you can use most tools to measure the customer journey how do i
