i hate chasing people who don't want me back...

I think one of the most exhausting feelings is wanting someone who doesn't want you back the same way. And I know people usually call that chasing. But honestly, when you're in it, it doesn't feel like chasing at first. It feels like hoping. Like believing maybe they just need more time. Maybe they're confused.

And for a while, you convince yourself that they will. You tell yourself, "If they didn't care at all, why would they even talk to me?" Or if they didn't feel something, they wouldn't even keep me around. But deep down, there's usually a part of you that already knows. Knows that if someone really wants you, you won't have
