Praise be to God. Now then, God willing, we will begin with the chapters related to creed from the book "Minh al-Rahman" (From the Merciful One).

Last time, we covered the introduction and mentioned that the chapters on faith in the book are divided according to the order of the Hadith of Gabriel. That is, we begin first with belief in God, then belief in the angels, then belief in the scriptures, then belief in the messengers, then belief in the Last Day, and then belief in divine decree and predestination, both

good and bad. This is the actual order of the book. You will find the first chapter is belief in God’s names and attributes, then belief in His Lordship, then belief in God’s Divinity, then ruling by what God has revealed, and then loyalty and disavowal. These five chapters are all included in belief in

God. So, belief in God is divided into these five categories. Is this a legal or conventional division? For example, is faith divided into belief in the names and attributes, Lordship, and Divinity, or into five categories? These four divisions—is this a legal or conventional division?
