Hi, I'm Corey Larkin. This is my cooking show Deeply and Seriously, [music] where we are going to cook the recipes from my upcoming cookbook. This is out November 10th, [music] and we are also going to riff on anything that comes to mind. I'm going to answer questions from you guys, and we are just going to kind of show
you guys how to cook some of these dishes in a longer form, [music] so you can really get the tips and the tricks. This is the dish I cook more than anything [music] else. This is what my family wants to eat. If they could eat it every day, they could. It's my simple tomato pasta. [music]
Growing up, we called it Mommy Meyer pasta because my mom would make it every week as well. [music] It's a handful of ingredients. Every single person will love this, and you'll never buy jarred pasta sauce again. [music] We are going to start [music] with tomatoes. These are cherry tomatoes and just regular on the vine tomatoes. We've
got anchovy. This is one of those things, if you think you don't like anchovy, try it in this dish, and then you probably will change your mind. We've also got some basil, garlic, and olive oil. That is really it. Because I cook this dish so often, I like to use kind of an interesting
shape of pasta. You can see it's like this weird little shape. Again, you could use anything you want, but because I make it so often, this is how I kind of keep it fresh. Into a cold pan, we are going to put a good amount of olive oil. So, this is where I feel like some
people maybe are like, "Why does my pasta not taste as good as in a restaurant?" They're usually not using enough fat and salt. So, we're going to cover the bottom of the pan with the olive oil. Next, we're going to go into some dried chili. If you don't like heat, leave it out, but it's a small
