Everybody knows Codex for a coding and a work tool. Almost nobody knows it can run an entire Google Business Profile completely on autopilot. With this very simple setup that I'm about to show you, it can watch your reviews 24/7, it can reply to the good ones right away, flag the bad ones, ask you advice, give you a

monthly report, repurpose your own blog post from your website to Google Business Post, and even upload your Instagram post into Google Post, which is wonderful for you to rank in your map pack. No agency needed, no $500 a month tool, just Codex and this one simple connection. Let's get to it. The API

connector that you will need is Code Zeno, and I think this simple, powerful little API connection is very much worth every single penny. You can make an account, make sure you use the link in the video description below. And in fact, if you look at their pricing structure, they give you two accounts

for free. So, if you're just running your own Google Business Profile, this isn't going to cost you anything else other than your current Codex subscription. So, what it allows you to do is not only connect to your Google Business Profile, but it actually allows you to connect to many different social media profiles. If you make an account

and you go to new connections, you can see here on the right-hand side that you can connect a bunch of social media profiles, including you know, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, which is what we're doing today, and a bunch of different things. But because it can connect to these platforms, it becomes incredibly

powerful with a little bit of imagination, which is what I'm giving you today. So, when you make an account, you want to go to new connection, you want to go to Google Business, and then you want to select the Google account that you have access to, whether you're connected to your own Google Business

Profile. In this instance, I'm going to choose this one. I've got a couple of Google Business Profiles, so I'm going to go to da da da, continue, and I'm going to select the right one that we're going to be working on today. In this instance, perfect, I'm just going to do this one

here. Now, I also recommend you connect the same Instagram account of the business that you connected the Google Business Profile account because that'll come in handy in a second. The next thing you want to do is you want to go to API keys and you want to create an API key. This will allow you

to connect Codex to Zeno and Zeno is going to do all the rest. And I create an API key here. I'm going to go example and you make sure that it's got full access, read and write, not read only. I'm going to create the key and that is the only time you're going to get access

to that key. So make sure you copy it and you leave it somewhere that you can easily access it later. I'm going to delete this so that nobody tries to use my own API key there. So, with that API key saved, the next thing you want to do is go and click into documentation.

Right? And you want to press the CLI here and we're going to soon copy this into our Codex. Now, back into Codex. What I would recommend you do is you start a new project just for this. So let's say you have a client or it's your own website, I would start a brand new project just for this to

manage your Google Business Profile appropriately. So, I'm going to go to the project section. I'm going to click on the plus and I'm going to run this locally and just go Google Business Profile Management. Click save. So now I've got a local folder for that. You can also do this on the web but I'm going to do it

locally for now. So, the next thing you want to do is now make sure that you connect Zeno. In the website that we had before, you can copy the entire contents into Codex and I'm going to say please read all of the following context and install Zeno. And you're going to paste all of the content that you just

copied and you're going to say ask me for the API key when ready. I know you're not supposed to paste in your API key into Codex but for this to be honest, I really don't mind. I I think it's it's safe enough, unless you're getting hacked all the time, but for this it's okay. Now, you should get

this message, the Zonio CLI is installed, I'm ready to authenticate it, please send me your API key and I'll run it. Let's do that. So, if you remember correctly, I rem- asked you to make sure that you save this API key that you've got here. And now we get a success message saying Zonio installed, the

saved API key works fantastically. Now, that was it. Let's just try and set up the first thing which I think is good to do, which is monthly reporting. You can do a very simple report, something like Now, take a look at the Google Business Connection, grab all the reviews for the last couple of months, and make sure you

generate a report for me. I want to understand the sentiment analysis, I want to understand any themes that are reoccurring, I also want to understand the amount of positive versus negative reviews, as well as a responding rate and a time frame of how quickly we're responding. I think that'll give you an understanding of, you know, if the

client or if you need to do a little bit better. Now, before you hit enter there, I want you to press enter and there is a There's a plugin called build um with data, which just allows you to instantly visualize all the data a lot better. We're going to click on that one. So, this is what's starting to

make it a lot of fun. You can mix and match and uh join together different plugins here. So, I'm joining all the tools and the API calls from Zonio. It's going to analyze the data and give us a report here. Once we're happy with the report, we can then set it as a schedule

to say, "Hey, can you grab the fresh data every first day of the month, for example, and give me the report?" But, let's see what the report looks like. Now, after a while, we should get a report that looks a little bit like this. It tells me the overall amount of reviews, the average rating, the reply

rate could be a little bit better, but not bad. The reviews over time, here's something really interesting, it tells you the theme mentioned. So, the quality of the food's quite good, the ceviche, the service. Um let's see what else. It's the sentiment is generally positive, right? Uh most mentioned terms food fresh recommended also, and then we get all

the reviews here. The theme performance, so nice. Okay, yeah. You get the idea. If you want to change this report, then clearly you can. So, what else can you do here? Like I said before, well, if we want to, we can then ask uh Codex to schedule this on a monthly basis, right?

But reports are a little bit boring. They can be handy. Let's get to the nitty-gritty. The positive reviews are the easiest by far, because you can answer them and nothing really bad is going to happen. If you want to be very careful, you can get it to uh wait for your approval for this, but for the most

part, let's say you get a positive review. By that, I mean anything higher than a four star rating. What you want the sequence to be is that Codex gets triggered by the schedule. It goes and gets the latest review, if it's a positive which is this part of this flow. It reads the review, it writes a

response, and then it posts it back right away. You can then get it to send you notification saying, "Hey, I responded to this, by the way. Have a read." Now, there is a best practices on how to do this. I've got this as um an MD file, which you can fill in, and you can place

it into the documents folder of that we just started within Codex, so everything's nice and organized. So, the guidelines here are you got to replace all of the placeholders, obviously, business name, the reviewer name, meaning the person of the first uh the owner or the manager responding here. Um and you fill this out, and it's going

to give Codex best practices on how to respond to positive reviews, right? It's fairly self-explanatory. You can do this have it run once a day, depending on how many reviews you often get. If it's a busy restaurant, definitely run it once a day. So, with negative reviews, there's definitely the same flow that

happens, but you need to be very wary here. Negative reviews, I really deem them anything lower than three. So, what the main thing is here is never get into an argument here. So, what you want the flow to be here is what you get CodeX to get the negative review and draft a response, but ping

you on whatever you want, whether it's Slack because you can connect CodeX to Slack or send you an email with hey, this is the negative response. This is how I recommend that you respond and once you approve it, you can get it to post it back into Google Business Profile. Again, in the resources below,

I've got a guideline here for that negative review response. The job here is really three main specific things that I think you should know regardless. So, you want to acknowledge the specific issues raised by the negative review responder like hey, you know, we appreciate you taking the time to say these things. Um acknowledge, apologize for the

experience, and then try to take it offline as quickly as possible. Could you at the name of the owner or the manager, here's my phone number so we can kind of rectify this as much. And believe it or not, having a negative review every now and then is actually not a bad thing. People do leave

reviews. And if you have a chance to respond to a negative review, albeit if you don't get that many, then it shows people that look, everyone's human, right? Uh sometimes bad things happen, but you kind of made a really positive experience out of a bad one cuz you tried to fix it. And it's actually

gets you more trusted, believe it or not. Um so, that's really a a lovely kind of opportunity to take. So, that's kind of reviews handled, and I'll show you how this kind of actually works. But then, what we want to do also is make sure that we keep our Google Business Profile updated

with a lot of content. Part of that is uploading posts. So, if you didn't know, one of the best things you can do is keep it updated with frequent posts here. I've got the Google Business Profile, and what you can do, um let me just refresh this, is you want to upload a post here. And post tends to be um,

number of things. It can be an update, an offer, an event. One thing you can do here, cuz you might be wondering, well, where am I going to get this content? Like I don't, you know, have offers or events very often. Well, you should be writing at least one to two to three

blog posts a week. And what you can do is repurpose that blog post to place it into this Google Business Profile. The good thing is that, thanks to this Codux connection with Zenuity, Codux already natively has access to browse the internet. It can go on your website, understand what the latest blog post is,

and then make sure it repurposes it with under 1,500 characters. That's the limit in Google Business Profile. You want to make sure that the CTA here that it sets up, uh, the button becomes learn more, and you put the link in to that blog post here. I think this is one of the best things

you can do for your local SEO, to be honest. It is kind of fantastic. The last thing you want to do is, if you've got an active social media account, let's say you've got an active Instagram account, right? So, these guys kind of tend to upload, for the most part, a fair bit of content here. Let's say what

I could do is, because I've got Zenuity connected to Instagram as well, I could get Zenuity to get the content from my Instagram account once every Monday, for example, and then just upload it as an image into Google Business Profile. That's another way to keep that Google Business Profile active. And another thing that's going to help you

rank in the map pack. And of course, to show you that this actually works, let's do a test, right? So, let's upload a Google Business Profile post from within Codux to this business. So, I've got to the website, and they don't have a blog post, but they do have this, um, you know, options

on an Argentinian barbecue, which seems really cool. So, let's say this is a blog post, and we're going to repurpose it into a Google Business uh, Profile post. I'm going to go back to, uh, Codux, and I'm going to make sure that I'm in the account where I've got all this information in. I can start a brand

new chat within that project. Make sure it's within this project because you've got all that information already there. Fantastic. And I'm going to say, um, can you please turn this into a a, uh, Google Business Profile post for the connected account through Zeno. I'm going to leave the URL there. And as part of the assets, um, that I'm going

to provide to you below in the video description, there's going to be a blog to Google Business Profile markdown. And this is going to have best practices here, what to do, what not to do, just to give a lot of guidance to Codex. You you don't want this to have kind of too

much room to wiggle around. I'm going to drop that MD file in here. Um, and I'm just going to say, um, follow the guides in the MD file. And hit enter. So, now back on the Google Business Profile, let's see the post here. Let me if I refresh this. Published 2 minutes ago. There is the

Argentinian, uh, update. Fantastic. We have everything we need here and the picture of that as well. So, it even I didn't even ask it to, but it kind of pulled the image through, which is pretty good. Fantastic. And now you can get it to that, you know, once a week, but that really depends on the

publishing cadence for this business in terms of blog posts. Now, if they don't publish many blog posts, you need to get the information from somewhere else. Let's say they publish a lot of Facebook posts, then you can repurpose the Facebook post for this. I hope that makes sense. I think you could even just

sell this as a service, like you'll manage the Google Business Profiles directly and you don't have to pay for, you know, a ridiculous amount of API calls or expensive, you know, um, tools. Even things like with GoHighLevel, I I you can do this, but GoHighLevel in isn't as good as Codex. I mean, weird

platforms to kind of compare against each other, but you get my idea, right? You could You could sell this as a service you know, from watching reviews to replying to good ones to flagging the bad ones to a monthly report and keeping that updated as much as possible.
