hi everyone this is lecture five and I'm super duper excited about this lecture because there's a lot of really cool things I'm going to talk about okay before we begin um I just want to make sure that you've done the worksheet go ahead and get the worksheet because we are going to be talking about
a few more of those items so please go do that before you watch this lecture okay first let's recap a little bit okay um cuz I might have left you a little bit scattered so let's kind of bring you back okay heris are rules of thumb that usually get a pretty decent answer right and we're talking about
deductive reasoning here so sometimes there is no correct answer so it's like what is the best answer okay now these decision- making heris we're talking about are the ones that your author Andi researched on for many years they identify these heris STS that people rely on again if we rely on them they
probably do a good job right well what con and verki have done is focus on the loopholes they focus on the circumstances when relying on these heris sixs steers you wrong they are exposing the errors that come along with using these heris stics they're showing us that sometimes we put too much weight
on information that should not factor into our decisions so if you're feeling stuff about these Ur istics like I told you I did when I first learned about him that's okay if you feel like you want to challenge them because no what we think is correct that is okay that is what you
should be feeling because they're telling you that your logic is faulty but it makes perfect sense to you right here's what you need to take away from this stuff it's not that these theistic are always wrong it's that they can be wrong and they can be wrong because sometimes we put too much weight on
