Amazon Cargo Plane Crash in Miami — Captain Reacts

Thursday begins today in Miami after a deadly cargo plane crash. >> This Amazon cargo plane overshot a runway at Miami International Airport, >> sparking a small fire and triggering a ground stop at the entire airport. >> Fire rescue units have populated that area. >> It's still not clear what caused this deadly crash.

doesn't operate their own airplanes. They contract out to different about a half a dozen different airlines to fly their cargo around. They're landing in Miami on the shortest runway in Miami, runway 30. Now, I didn't say a short runway. It's still got just less than 8,000 foot of useful runway, but it's a

9,300 foot runway. There's a displaced threshold making the useful runway just below 8,000, making it the shortest runway at Miami. There's no probable cause yet. The NTSB is on the scene. We don't know exactly what happened. There could be a lot of extenduating circumstances. However, we're going to take a look at what we can see up to

this point and analyze that because there's a lot of details in these videos that I think other folks are missing. I spent 23 and a2 years flying this model airplane.
