How Do I Co-teach Virtually? Supporting ALL students during school shutdowns

[Music] welcome to co-teaching in a virtual environment very glad you could join us my name is Wendy murasky and this session is being co-hosted by the california state university northridge center for teaching and learning where i'm the executive director as well as to teach LLC which is an inclusive and educational consulting company focused

on inclusive education with a sense of humor and I'm the CEO there so I'm very glad that both of them were willing to co-host this webinar because we have noted a huge need in the area lots of people asking about how do we do this in a virtual environment this is a very

short 30-minute webinar so that means I'm going to be doing quite a bit of talking and a lot of information but I want you to know that we are going to make these resources available to you you will have the recording which we will put online and as well as the handout of the each slide so we're gonna

hang off not do our typical responding to chat Q&A more interactive like we usually do instead this time it's going to be just trying to give as much resources to you as possible and because I don't know how much information you know about teaching virtually at all let me tell you that we're gonna start with

some general tips for virtual instruction then we'll move into the specific information on co-planning co-instructing coe assessing the three keys of co-teaching and give you some additional resources as well so that's the plan here we go let's start with some general tips for virtual instruction first of all please check your system even though I use virtual

instruction a lot every time I need to go on just a little bit early to check my sound check my environment check the internet make sure videos working all those things because whatever you did last time you might have inadvertently hit a button that changes everything Oh your children might have been playing
