For example, like many gotcha games, they use a very predatory business model and Hoyoverse makes [music] millions of dollars off of FOMO and by fostering people's gambling addictions. And I would argue Genshin is actually worse than a lot of other Hoyo games, too, because it's not as generous. From
my understanding, other games from this company have made up for a lot of Genshin's greed by giving away more free characters and by making easier to obtain materials to level them up. Meanwhile, Genshin refuses to adapt even after over 5 years of updates. The resin cap is still only at 200 with no resin
overflow system, and the weapon and talent ascension materials are still only available for a few days each week, which is an outdated [music] system that serves absolutely no purpose. But, despite all of those flaws, Genshin kind of stole my heart in the beginning. I had never played a game like this before, meaning a gotcha game. I didn't
