UU114 Week 10 Development Goals

on monday we talked about the broad topic of development and we explored a whole range of issues about development we tried to define it we look at how when did it when did it start how did it become a topic of discussion at a global level within our region so moving on then from from there we

look at then at sort of like trying to um to summarize about development then and now obviously the environment is one of those factors that has been definitely changed as a result of development that the environment has always been remain intact or always screened and the society was organized in a very different way you know there was much

more focus on the need the need of people not creed and money was important but it wasn't it wasn't the the the main thing i mean i mean scientists in the pacific where there was so much communal camino living in our own part of the world where things have been shared you know

we share things and the role of the battle system for example has been a system that has thrived in our countries for a long long time there was also an um elaborate exchange in terms of events you know there are life events that happened along the way and all of those again all of those are

different ways in which we explore the fact that development is defined differently by different people and obviously economic development via gdp wasn't really a main thing for us for for our part of the world was always about relationships it was always about communal communal livelihood and communal sharing and you think about how our own societies

have have evolved over time with obviously a lot of changes have been around and have evolved by no means i'm not suggesting that we should remain constant we should not change obviously all countries will evolve and change in one way or the other but think about some of those changes have had on on our culture the
