So today the message comes from Haggi chapter 2 verse 10-14. So I want you to look there at your seat. Take out a Bible. If you brought your Bible with you, great. Let's open the book today. Is the book. Every other book is a book. This is the book, right? Haggi chapter 2 verse 10-14. Now this is
a weird passage and you'll see in a minute why I wanted to overlook it but it has become wonderful. So some things in life are weird and yet wonderful. Right? This is true of this passage. Haggi 2 verse 10-14. The 24th day the ninth month the second year of Darius king of Persia. The word
of the Lord came to the prophet Haggi. Ask the priest what the law says. If someone carries consecrated meat in the fold of their garment and that fold touches some bread or stew or wine or olive oil or some other food, does it become consecrated? And the priest answered, "No." But if someone
is defiled by contact with a dead body and they touch one of these things, does it become defiled? The priest answered, "Yes, it becomes defiled." Then Hagi said, "So it is with this people in this nation in my sight, declares the Lord. Whatever they do and whatever they offer in this place is
defiled." The message is entitled, "It's easier to be a sinner than a saint." Notice the contrast between the word consecrate and the word defiled. Notice that the consecration does not spread, but the defilement spreads easily and quickly. Lord, thank you for your word. use it in a way to help us grow in grace
and knowledge. I pray for the salvation of the soul of any man or woman or young people who is yet to receive Jesus as their savior. And I pray that as a church family and as each of us individually that will come today to a new place of consecration of oursel to you in Jesus name. God's people said
