Now, do you want me to show you such evidence in the New Testament—how different books will confirm one another? You’re going to get it. Again, remember, they circulated independently. They were not written at the same time. Okay, but now watch the internal consistency. This is another testimony—the Spirit truly moved the church to collect the books that God inspired.

Watch here. Deuteronomy 25:4—Moses saying: “You shall not muzzle the ox while it’s threshing.” Now, notice God’s love for animals. If God is saying that even an ox is to be compensated and provided for—if the ox is benefiting you—how much more the man of God, the servant of God, the bishop who is feeding you spiritually?

You understand the argument? Because this is what Paul’s going to say. Now, Jesus, when He sends people out two by two or in company, says: “Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you.” So, Jesus is saying if a house takes you in and gives you lodging, stay—for the laborer is worthy of his wages.

If you read the Greek of Luke 10:7, it’s identical to another passage: “For the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.” Now, watch this. Watch where we’re going to go with this. Okay, 1 Timothy 5:18—Paul talking about the elders. He says about the elders and bishops—they’re worthy of compensation and double honor.

And he gives the Bible proof: “For the Scripture”—notice singular—“says: ‘You shall not muzzle the ox while it’s threshing.’ “ He just quoted Moses. He’s saying, “See, if animals are to be compensated, how much more the elder.” So, what did he call Scripture? The book of Moses. He’s quoting Deuteronomy 25:4, right?
