welcome to the project management assignment in BTM 211 611 so what we need to do is understand the needs of an organization what do they need to do to be successful uh as business students as future business professionals the ability to clear and communicate the needs of an organization is a very important skill in business so consider

the following projects a construction project there's number of examples around the city where we see uh Pro construction work ongoing maybe you had a co-op or or you're a marketing major and you look at a marketing plan for an organization or a merger an acquisition project for a uh you know some sort of

financial institution or maybe more BTM related a software AC acquisition project if we start to look at what each of these projects have in common we start to understand that they have to have a clear understanding of what they need to do these are what we call requirements so in a construction project needs to understand what needs

to be built so if you're an architect or if you're a general contractor you need to know what the project has to deliver right is it a new bridge or is it a a new road is it twinning of a highway is it you know renovating a park a marketing plan is maybe how to reach

your Target customers who are they what do they need what are they interested in right how do we sort of make uh our our Target customers understand or get our customers to understand that the software and services provided by an organization meets the needs of their customers so so think of something like

umusic or Spotify who wants to Market their services and their products to uh customers maybe globally worldwide uh merger and acquisition needs to know how to acquire an organization so you might need a number of requirements before you actually make an offer to acquire an organization you know an external organization software acquisition
