Greater friends, thank you so much for rolling up on me. Thank you for getting the place to hear the word of God. Good afternoon, Sister Lois. I pray God has been uh great to you also. Um good evening to all of you. I love you and thank you. Now, it's time for the word

of God. And I want you to get in a good place. You deserve you deserve a break. That's what you deserve a break. You deserve to sit down and uh listen to what God says so he can come through for you. There is a word again. Good evening to two of the greatest churches I know on here in the

state of Alabama. To some of the greatest people, our pastor, God blessings upon you all. I love you so much. Good afternoon, brother Chris. Happy birthday to you. May God continue to bless you and your entire family wherever you may be. I want you to get comfortable because I'm going to speak over your life. And guess what? When I

begin to teach tonight, things are going to change for you. That's how bold I know God words work. So, as I teach you tonight, things are going to begin to change for you. So, we're going to pray uh we're going to speak over your life now before we go into the word of God. I

thank you, Lord, that wherever there's lack, God, you're prospering. I thank you, God, that wherever there is sickness in people body in the name of Jesus. I pray God that there's healing. I pray God for those that are in the hospital. I pray for those that are disappointed. I pray for those who are falling to weariness.

I pray for those who are discouraged. And I say in the name of Jesus, things are changing for them right now in the name of Jesus. God, I thank you that as I teach your word, it's going to break ground. It's going to bring people up to the level in which they can receive. I

thank you for every ear that is attentive to the words that I speak. And I pray that this revelation would get down their hearts and God that things will begin to turn in the mighty name of Jesus. And I thank you Lord that I believe it's already done. It's already happening in Jesus' name. Amen. God

bless you. God bless you. Thank you. That's the prayer. Get ready to take some notes. You already saw the subject. People don't like to talk about it, but God told me to talk tonight about understanding temptation. I know. I know. Understanding temptation. Okay, I want you to put that down. I know we don't the church do not like to

talk about it because their mind go to one place. But tonight, Bishop Gore, God bless you. You've got to get an understanding of temptation. People got different things about it. God told me that he wanted me tonight to teach people because many people have a misunderstanding about temptation and they they think it's just between a a woman and a man or

a man want a woman or whatever. But it's much more than that. Now watch this. I want to read from the book of Matthew the 20 uh 6th chapter verse 41. Matthew 26 and 41 says, "Watch and pray. Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation." That's what Jesus says. Watch and pray that you don't

enter into temptation. Bless you too, sister. Love, God. Bless you, too. Uh uh all of the rest of the people that's coming on, listen at me. Jesus says temp, it's important that you watch and you pray that you enter not into temptation. That's what he said. That you enter not into temptation. So you

can, it's possible for you to enter into temptation if you don't watch and if you don't pray. This going to be good. Please don't jump off. Please uh uh it's it's important that you watch and you pray that you do not enter into temptation. That's what he says. Now watch this. The spirit

indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Oh, the spirit is willing not to enter into temptation, but the flesh is weak. Now watch this. Now listen to me real good. Christ in this verse reveals to us that the flesh is weaker than the spirit. You need to put that in the chat line.

The flesh is weaker than the spirit. That's what Jesus says. The flesh is weaker than the spirit. Yes, it is. You got to get that. He says that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. So if you want to understand this thing uh uh the flesh is much weaker than the spirit. Now

Galatian shows us how to control. If the flesh is weak, we got to control it. If the flesh is weak, we must control it. And over in Galatian 5 and 16, it tells us in Galatian 5 and 16, it tells us how to control this weak flesh. If the flesh is weak, how do we

control, Sister Barber, how do we control this flesh? If it's weak, how do we control it? He did say it's weak but we can control that weak place. How do we control it? How do we if the flesh is weak that means it want to do what it want to do? Well then how do we write

control this flesh? Come on. How do we control it? I'm going to show you in Galatian um let's see Galatian 5 and verse 16 tells us how to control it. Galatian 5 and16 says this I say then uh oh Galatian uh uh 3 and and 16 said this I say then walk in the spirit

walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh that's Galatian 5:16 so I control my flesh by walking in the spirit. That's that's how I'm going. Now, when I say walk in the spirit, I'm going to have to live. I'm I'm going to have to be willing to walk in spirit if I'm

going to overcome or if I'm not going to fulfill the lust of the flesh. So, if I'm going to handle my flesh, I must have a willing spirit. I must have a willing spirit if I'm going to overcome the flesh that's easily be tempted. I must have a willing spirit. You can overcome anything

if you have a willing spirit. Oh, this is going to be good. You can overcome anything if you have a willing spirit. You got it? You can overcome. You can come out of anything if you have a willing spirit. Your spirit must be willing to come out. You ain't just going to come out

automatically. Your spirit is say your flesh. Your flesh will stay in that mess all it want to. But the spirit must be willing. And wherever that spirit is willing, you got that flesh under control. Oh yeah. Well, well, I ain't tempted. Stop lying. Let's stop lying. You are tempted. That don't mean you've sinned.

Temptation is not a sin. that that's why the church don't like to talk about because powerful folk have the nerve to say they ain't tempted. Yes, you are. If you're a mother of the church, you're tempted. If you're the pastor, you're tempted. If you're the pope, you're tempted. If you're the choir director,

you tempted. Everybody must deal with temptation. But we don't like to talk about it like that. Everybody tempted. So, don't you feel bad? Everybody is tempted. Oh my god. Yeah, that that's the problem. We don't want to admit something, but everybody is tempted. Now, before you enter into temptation, you got to already know that God has

already made a way of escaping it. No matter whatever this temptation, I'm going to move on. Whatever you're being tempted with, God has already made a way out for you. I'm in 1 Corinthians 10:13 now. 10 1 Corinthians 10:13 says he's already made a way of escape. No matter what the temptation you you're dealing

with, God has already made a way of escape. Now, if he's made a way of escape, it's your job to be willing to come out. He's already made the way of escape. It's up to you. He said, "Now, you can come out of that. You You come through that temptation you want to. I've

already made a way of escape for you, but you got to be willing to take the escape route. There is no excuse for temptation taking you over. There is no excuse because God has already given you an escape route. You You don't have to yield to it. There is an escape route if you want to come

out. Uhoh. Oh boy. I hate that this ain't one of them shall message me, but this is a good message. Yeah, you you you can come out if you be willing. if you be willing. Ah, it had me down. I don't know what it was that had you down, but I guarantee you this. There

was a way out before it had you down. Now, I'm talking to you uh from as transparent as I can. If you don't handle temptations like you're supposed to, you'll never fulfill the will of God. Now, watch this. Let's get a definition. Uh uh let's get a let's get a well to overcome I think I gave you this. Let me

give it to you again. To overcome anything to overcome anything that's get in your way, you must have a spirit of willingness to overcome any obstacle that gets in your way. You must have a spiritual willingness or the spirit of I don't care what you're being tempted with. Now, we're going beyond just uh uh

sexual between man, woman, or whatever. We going beyond that. I'm going to show you it's bigger than that. Most people just narrow-minded when they say temptation. It's hard for you to walk up to somebody and say, you know, I'm being tempted. They will look at you crosseyed. It's hard to walk up to

another brother in a church and say, "Hey, I'm being tempted." It's hard to walk up to a sister and say, "I'm being tempted." If they're talking about what mean rebuking you, that start doing all the kind of stuff towards you. So, it's hard to even admit that. People just ain't going to walk up and say, "You

know what? I'm being tempted because people look at you crazy. That's why people don't want to admit it." Now, watch this. To overcome anything though, you must to overcome anything that gets in your way, you must have a spirit of willingness. David, watch this spirit of willingness to bless the Lord. David said, "I will bless the Lord." He

didn't say, "I feel." He said, "I will." He had a spirit of witness willingness to bless the Lord. The woman with the issue of blood overcame that issue because she had a spirit system of willingness. She said, "If I can touch or if I will touch the him and his garment, I will be made whole." The only

reason she came out, mother dot is because she had a spirit of willingness. Mother God, if she had not had a spirit of willingness, she would have stayed in her issue. But she had a spirit of willingness. The Bible says that she pressed her way. She had a spirit of willingness. Uh she

just didn't get uh o overcome that that what was in front of her. She could have been tempted to give up, but she pressed her way. Peter had a spirit of willingness to launch back out into the deep. He had failed. He could have said he could have been tempted not to try again. But he

says, "I will at your word. I will go back and do it again." Yes, he had a spirit of willingness. Lord have mercy. The only reason Jesus died on that cross and made it through the death, burial, and got up again is because Jesus had a spirit of willingness. Lord have mercy. I feel him. Jesus had a spirit of

willingness. He was in the garden of Gethsemane and and he was about to let go, but he said, "Not my will, but your will." So in order to do anything to overcome anything including temptation sister Brown including temptation in order to overcome anything including temptation. In order to overcome anything including temptation you must be willing.

Oh, it's going to take your temptation going to wipe you out if you don't elder have a spirit of willingness. Now, watch this. Watch this. Uh God can't help anybody who is unwilling if YOU BE WILLING. GOD CANNOT help you overcome anything without your will. That's just way God is. He's a good God. He's not going to

help you overcome anything without your will. He'll open the door, but he's not going to push you in it. No. No. You must be willing. Now, let's get a definition of temptation. I need you to get a definition. My time is flying, but I need you to get a definition of temptation. I'm gonna give you a definition. Now,

watch this. Temptation is an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. Temptation is an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. What is temptation? Temptation is an invitation. Temptation is an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. You got that? Write that down. Now, you going to have to remember that. So, when

somebody say temptation, what what are they talking about? Temptation is an invitation to do something that's contrary to God's will. What is temptation? Temptation is a an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. Let me ask you a question. Did you get an invitation today to do something contrary to God's will?

If you living somebody on here beside me, you got an in temp. YOU WAS TEMPTED TODAY. YOU GOT an invitation, sister Moore. You got a invitation. You got an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. Uh uh somebody might have walked by you to cuss you out. You and they said something to you

and and immediately you were tempted to cuss them out. They did you wrong. Immediately you you got an invitation to do something contrary to God's will. They might have gave you the finger. They might have pulled out in front of you. Immediately when they did that, you was tempted or you got an invitation

to do something contrary to God's will. You wanted to push somebody down for stepping on your shoes. You were tempted to push somebody. The moment they stepped on your shoes, you was tempted TO KNOCK THEM OUT. YOU GOT AN invitation to do something contrary TO GOD'S WILL. I don't care how high, what your title is, you will often

get invitations to do something to go against God's will. Yeah. There was nobody in the store looking at you. You were You were about to steal that candy. The devil said ain't nobody in here, but you didn't do it. But you was tempted to do it. YOU WAS TEMPTED TO PULL OFF WITH

THAT gas without paying for that gas. You were tempted TO PULL OFF. YOU GOT AN invitation to do something contrary to God's will. If you got an invitation to do something contrary to God will my brothers and my sisters that was temptation. I don't care what it was. That was temptation. Now temptation can come through many

things. Temptation can come through many things. Temptation can come through thoughts. Temptation can come through desires. Temptation can come through people. Temptation can come through opportunities. Temptation can come through circumstances. Temptation can come through emotions. Temptation can come through memories. Temptation can come through possessions. Temptations can come through environment. And temptations can come

through legitimate knees that has become distorted. I'm going to go down that list one more time cuz I know you didn't get them. Temptation can come through thoughts. How you think can temptation can come through your desires. Lord have mercy. Temptation can come through people. Temptation can come through opportunities. Temptation can come through

circumstances. You in a circumstance and you'll be tempted to do something contrary to the will of God. Temptation can come through opportunities. Oh, Lord have mercy. Yes, opportunities present themselves and you'll be tempted to take something that wasn't right. Temptation can come through uh circumstances. It can come through emotions. Your emotions all out of the way. temptation you get

out the way to emotions temptations can come through your memories something that God has delivered you from and you'll start remember it and you'll go back to doing it the devil tempt you through your memories temptations can come through possessions you'll steal something you want it so bad you don't have the money you'll be tempted to go

against God will to get it and temptations can come in your environments you're in environments that doing all kind of things that God has delivered you from. You're too weak to be in that environment. And so you're in an environment where you're too weak to set in and they doing things that God

has delivered you from. Don't be sitting up in there talking about I got it. I can handle it. If you tempted to go back to doing that stuff, you ain't ready for that. It's going to pull you back again. You ain't ready for that. So your environment and then temptation can come through legitimate needs that become

distorted. You need food. You need clothes. These are legitimate needs. But your need become distorted. So you'll compromise to meet those needs. You'll be tempted to do something against the will of God to go get that need. That my brothers and sisters is temptations. That's how it can come through. Now listen to me. The greatest dangers of

temptation is that it does not always look evil. The danger of temptation is that it don't always look evil. I hope y'all getting this. The danger of temptation is that temptation don't always look evil. That's that's how the enemy can get you. He he know I he he he he got to make

temptation look attractive. And I'm not talking about a man or woman. Please y'all go beyond that. The enemy knows how to make temptation look attractive. Sister Teresa, the greatest danger of temptation is that it does not look evil. If it look evil, you wouldn't take it. No. The enemy knows how to get you or give you

an invitation that looks real good. The invitation got to look good in order for you to take it. You are not sister Tab going to take it if the invitation is not good. That invitation got to be attractive. And he's not going to give you an evil invitation. He's going to give you

something that makes it look good. All right. And the greatest dangers of temptation is that it does not look like that devil on that stock can with a with a with a with a with a pitchfork. If temptation came with a pitchfork, you'll go around it. But unfortunately, it's not like that little red devil on that suniss can

with that that pig folk. He knows how to fix it up so you can take it. As my grandmother would say, "Boy, if you got to know how to bait the hook, you got to hide the hook." In order to catch a fish, she showed me how to hide the hook. She said, "Boy, if the hook

showing, the fish ain't going to go for it. You got to know how to hide the hook sometime." And I came to tell you that the devil knows how to hide the hook. Now, not only it it looks evil, but temptation has a voice. Temptation has a voice. Put that in the comment line for somebody, please.

Temptation has a voice. All right, you got to get this. I hope you're sharing this with somebody. Temptation speaks. Temptation has a voice. Y'all better listen to me. I'm trying to help somebody in a nice way without you spending all your money. Sister Crystal, temptation has a voice. It knows how to speak.

I hope you writing this down and putting it. Temptation knows how to speak. Temptation has a voice. Now, I know y'all knows it. You want to know what it sound like? I'm going to tell you cuz I know you knows it cuz I hear somebody saying, "Well, what does it sound like?" I'm going to show you

what temptation sound like. Here's what it sound like. Temptation will speak to you before you do it. temptation to say stuff like just this once. That's temptation. Just this once. I know y'all ain't never heard that, but I've heard that voice before. Just this once. Just this one time. I know y'all ain't never heard that kind

of temptation, but it has a voice. It'll say just this one time. Just this once. Watch this. Temptation sound like this. It sounds like this nookie. Nobody will know. That's temptation. You know when nobody will know. I know y'all ain't never heard this kind of voice, but I I be hearing just this one time. Nobody will

know. And boy, you'll start LOOKING AROUND THINKING, HOW HAVE YOU EVER BEEN? NOBODY will know. NOBODY. I I'VE HEARD THAT. JUST DO IT. AIN'T NOBODY GONNA KNOW. THAT'S THAT'S the voice of temptation. And temptation sound like this. You deserve it. You ain't never heard that one, have you? You you you you deserve

it. See that imitation? You you you you you deserve it. You you you know you know it's wrong, but there there go temptation talking about you deserve it. You know it goes against the will of God, but there go talking about you deserve it. You know God don't want you TO DO IT,

BUT IT'S SITTING THERE talking about you deserve it. And then when you steal and be behind jail, it don't say nothing. BUT YOU ain't never heard that you deserve it. What? What about this one? Everybody doing it. Oh my god. You ain't never heard that one before. Everybody doing it. That's temptation. Make it easy for

you. EVERYBODY DOING IT. I KNOW Y'ALL AIN'T never heard that. I KNOW Y'ALL KNOW Y'ALL CHRISTIAN FOLK DON'T LIKE TO HEAR THAT. BUT GOD TALKS TO YOU and temptation do too. Temptation to say everybody doing it. Make you feel good. See now just because everybody doing it don't mean it's right. See you feel better about everybody

doing it. All right. Y'all want some more? I got a few more minutes. What? What what temptation sound like? What temptation sound like? It's not really that serious. It's not really that serious. See, these are the kind of things that'll get you in trouble. It it it's not that serious. You know, here you ARE TRYING TO LIVE,

RIGHT? I IT'S telling you it ain't that serious. I know y'all ain't heard this kind of stuff that they temptation don't bother y'all. I I I know I I I I know it it ain't that serious. HERE YOU ARE FIGHTING TO LIVE FOR God and and they trying to make it look like that God

ain't serious. God is serious. Put that in the chat line. Say God is serious about everything he say. God is serious about everything he say. Sister Upshaw. God is serious. Oh, it ain't that serious. God is serious about everything. If God wasn't serious, there wouldn't be no hell. God is serious. OH, GOD. YEAH. THAT'S HOW SERIOUS HE IS.

IF GOD WAS NOT SERIOUS ABOUT WHAT HE SAID, then he shouldn't have made a hell. God is serious. I'm gonna give you one more. Here goes. Here go one more. You can repent later. I know y'all didn't heard that. Oh. Oh, you can ask God. Go ahead and you can repent later. You hear that? God, I'm

listening. That's how temptation you It sounds good. You You can repent later. Go ahead and do it. You can repent later. I I know I know y'all people that live up in the clouds, you ain't tempted. But down here on this earth, if you here, you done heard some of this stuff before. You ain't crazy.

Temptation be talking like that to everybody. You are not crazy. Now watch me. Watch this. WHY are these statements SO DANGEROUS? WHY? WHY? I KNOW WE LAUGHING BUT WHY ARE these statements so dangerous? These statement that I JUST I KNOW THEY KIND OF YOU DON'T HEARD BUT WHY ARE THEY SO DANGEROUS? They are dangerous because

they make disobedience appear to be harmless. That's why they dangerous. They dangerous. These things I just said, they're dangerous because they make disobedience appear harmless. And that's why the devil want to lure you. He makes disobedience appear to be harmless. THAT'S HIM. THAT'S HIS JOB. The enemy when he tempts you, he want to make

disobedience appear to be harmless. And none of us are perfect. We need the mercy of God. But we need to be aware that when we are tempted, God has made a way out. You don't have to accept the invitation to do wrong. You don't have to accept the invitation to go against God's will. You don't have to accept the

invitation to cuss somebody out. You don't have to accept the invitation to lie about your taxes. You don't have to accept the invitation to lie on your time card. You don't have to accept the invitation. God will give you the will to overcome it. Now, now here's when temptation show up and I

got to hurry. Temptation often targets vulnerable moments. Temptation targets vulnerable moments. Sister Oliver Vanessa, temptation targets your vulnerable moments. Temptation waits till you are vulnerable. Then it attacks you. Temptation knows when you are vulnerable. So it targets your vulnerable moments. The moments when you are tired. The moments when you are angry. The moments when you are lonely.

The moments when you are disappointed. The moment when you feel rejected, the moment when you are in under financial pressure, the moment you are emotionally wounded are physically exhausted, temptation almost always targets your vulnerable moments. Lord have mercy. Temptation targets your vulnerable moments. Think about the time you were angry, lonely, wounded, rejected,

disappointed. That's when you just set the invitations like it ain't nothing because you need something for to fulfill those moments that you're going through. Hallelujah. Now, watch this. The only thing that's stronger than temptation is the truth. The only thing that is stronger than temptation is the truth. Sister Coffee, the only thing that's stronger

than temptation is the truth. Oh my God. The only thing that's stronger than temptation is the truth of God's word. That's the only thing. The only thing that's stronger, and I've said that about nine times, I know. But the only thing that is stronger than temptation is the truth. When Jesus in the book of

Matthew uh the fourth chapter, he was at a vulnerable moment. He was hungry. He was tired. He had been fasting. And it was at the vulnerable moment that temptation came him. The only way Jesus handled temptation was with truth. Jesus said, "It is written." That's all he could do. At his vulnerable moment, at his tired moment,

he spoke truth. He said, "It is written." I want you to try that. We going to try that. The next time you are vulnerable and the enemy gives you an invitation or he tempts you with something to go against God, stand on the truth and say, "It is written. I cannot steal this candy. It is

written. I cannot steal this money. It is written. I cannot cuss this person out. It is written. I cannot slap the mess out there. It is written. I cannot retaliate. It is written. I can't hold my mouth when I walk by. I must speak. It is written. I got to speak to everybody. Love. It is written.

I got to do good. The reason I'm doing it, I'm tempted not to do good, but it is written. Do good to them who despitefully use you. Then next time you don't want to GIVE NO OFFERING YOU, it is written if I give it'll come back to me good measure pressed down shaken

together. The only way you going to defeat the only way you ain't going to go behind that closed door with that woman and it is written I got to be married. I know you don't want to hear that but if you would say it is WRITTEN BEFORE YOU GO IN there just say it is

written. Try that. This is good. Now, now that's the only way he handle we handle things like Jesus. Now, watch this. Temptation reveals areas that require growth. All right, did you hear me? Temptation reveals areas that require growth. When you being tempted a lot, it's it's it's it's revealing an area that you need to grow

in. Temptation reveals areas you require growth. If you falling into temptation real easy, that's an area you you require growth. Temptation uh uh uh reveals areas in your life that require growth. If you have a continuation of being tempted something, you need growth in that area. So, uh temptation exposes areas uh that of weakness. Yes, that's what I

want to say. Temptation exposes areas of weakness. Temptation exposes areas of weakness that needs attention. You got it. Temptation exposes those area you ain't weak. Yeah. If you're just falling into temptation a lot, you need to do something in that area. Temptation expose or reveals the that you need some growth there. Now, I got to get this before I leave.

Being tempted is not the same as committing sin. Maybe I should say that being tempted is not the same as committing sin. If you say you was tempted, that's not the same as you committed sin. Because in Hebrews 4 and:15, I think Hebrews 4:15, Jesus was tempted, but he remained without sin. Yeah, that's Hebrews 4:15. I think Jesus

was tempted, but he remained without sin. So then, being tempted is not the same as committing sin. I want you to get that. So, you have not uh uh committed sin by saying you was tempted today. See what I'm saying? So, being tempted is not the same. Some people get it confused. You was tempted,

but that's not the same, my brothers and sisters, as committing sin. Again, in Hebrews 4:10, Jesus was tempted, yet he remained without sin. All right? Now, when tempted, you have not failed God. Somebody need to hear. When you being tempted, you have not failed God. Just because you been tempted does not mean you have failed God. Don't feel

bad. Now, now I ain't saying go out there looking for temptation. That is not what I'm saying. I have to say that. I ain't saying. No. But when you are tempted, you have not failed God. Temptation is not the same as committing the sin. Because if it is the same, then Jesus sin. But temptation is that. So when

you've been tempted, that does not mean you have failed God. You don't need to go on 90day fast because you've been tempted because you gonna have to go on another one cuz you gonna always be tempted. But but when you're tempted, I want to let you know that you have not failed God. Because some people will not follow

God because they think I can't follow God cuz I'm always being tempted. Well, being tempted is not the same as committing me uh being tempted is not the same as committing sin. Temptation. Watch this. Temptation must be welcome, entertained and nurtured and acted upon. If it's temptation, if you fail, temptation must be first welcomed,

then it must be entertained, then it must be nurtured, and then acted upon. You see that? Again, temptation must first be whackom. You know, it's an invitation to go against the will of God. Temptation must first be whackom. Number one, then it must be entertained. Then if after you entertain it, you nurture it. And then finally, after

nurturing it, you take action. That's that's that's it. You fail. See, temptation must be welcome. And then it must be entertained. Then it must be nurtured and then acted upon. That's when it becomes dangerous. When you welcome it, when you entertain it, when you nurture it, when you act upon it, that's when it's dangerous.

Oh my god. I hope you're getting this. When when you welcome it and when you entertain it and when you nurture it and when you act upon it, now it's dangerous. Woohoo! I've been there where I've welcomed it, where I've entertained it, where I've nurtured it, where I acted upon, and it will tear your life

apart. Oh, God have mercy. I got to go now. But James chapter 1, 4, and 15, notice the the the progression of of temptation. James 1, I don't have time to read it, but it's in James 1:14-15. It notice the Notice the progression of temptation. It's got to be attraction. It's got to be enticement.

It's got to be some conception, then some action. Read it when you get a chance. That's in James one. It's drawn. It's got to be attractive. It's not a temptation. Somebody say, "Oh, I wasn't tempted today. Didn't nothing come out you like." It's got to be attractive. It's temptation got to be enticing.

Temptation got to have a conception then action. James 1:14-15 would show you. And that's why you can't play with temptation. That's why you've got to deal with it at the door. You can't be sitting there talking to it. You got to deal with temptation at the door. If it's leaned up against the door, you got to deal with it

because if you don't deal with it at the door, it'll be in your life in a few seconds. So many people are messed up now because they don't have that will overcome it. You got to have the will. The door is already open. The way is made. You just got to be willing to say, "I'm sick of

this. I'm going to stop this and move on." Now, all right. I'm going to give you some couple of steps. I hope you got some tonight. I love you. I'll continue talking about it. Now, watch this. How do we deal? I got 10 minutes with temptation. You got your paper. How do I deal

with temptation? How do I deal with it? Pastor, do I what what what do I need to do? How how I know y'all asking question because y'all know this. How from this point do I deal with temptation? Number one, you got to recognize it. That's the first thing. If you are going to

overcome temptation, number one, you got to recognize temptation. This is temptation. Got to recognize it. Don't be up there playing with it. Call it what it is. This is a tempting moment. You got no m You got to recognize it. Once you recognize it, it's up to you. You You got to start. This is temptation

right here. You got to recognize it. All right. All right. Once you recognize it, you got to decide, do you receive it or do you reject it? All right. Do you receive the temptation or do you reject it? All right. Do you receive this invitation that's coming after you to get you to go against the will of

God? Or do you reject it? How do I deal with temptation? what I'm telling you. Number one, you got to recognize it. Number two, you reject it or you receive it. All right, here's number three. You replace that temptation with the word of God. You replace it with the word of God. Once I recognize it

and once I reject it, because that's what you got to do if you if you going to stay in that will. I got to be willing to reject it. Now, I got to replace this temptation with the word of God. When the enemy came against Jesus to tempting, Jesus replaced that temptation with the word

of God. I know you speak in tongues. I'm not saying you don't, but you replace it with the word of God. You put the word of God right in that place that's trying to get you to receive it. You putting that it is written. Got to replace it with the word of God. Now, this is a

lifestyle, y'all. This ain't going to be easy, but it's if you do it habitually, you'll get good because you going to always need God on your side. You can't do it without a willing spirit. If you walk in the spirit, you will not fulfill the lust or you will not fulfill this invitation. This flesh is weak. The

flesh want to take every invitation from temptation. The flesh will take every invitation from temptation. The flesh, as my grandmother was here, she would say, "Boy, the flesh want everything." The flesh will take anything. The flesh is weak. It'll take any. And and that's why you got to be able, sister Denise. You got to Fitzpatrick

TC. You got to be willing. And that's why you got to be strong. Said flesh, you ain't going to get the best. The spirit is willing, but that flesh is weak. Flesh will take anything. The flesh is said cuss out. The flesh don't want to pray for nobody. The prey says shoot him. Cuss him out. The flesh says

steal. The flesh said do what you want to do. The flesh always accepting something that ain't right. When you want to do what's right, it won't accept that. It want to accept every imitation. It wants to feel good stuff. That's why Jesus said, "Watch and pray that you enter because that spirit is willing but the flesh." Now watch

this. So how do I deal with temptation? I got to recognize it. Then I have to reject it. Then I got to do like Jesus and replace it with the word of God. It is written. I cannot sleep with this man's wife, a husband. It is written. I cannot steal what is not mine. It is

written. I got to speak to everybody. You got to be like Jesus. When the enemy tempts you to do something, you got to replace it with the word of God. And I know this sound easier than done, but we have to practice it. God's grace is sufficient enough to give you the ability,

and he's not going to let you to be tempted above that you are able. He knows how much temptation you can handle. Hallelujah. So number one, how do I deal with it? I recognize it. Once I recognize it, I reject it. And then I replace it with the word of God. Then I redirect my attention.

I redirect my attention. Got to do that. Once you replace it with the word of God, I redirect my attention. I set my affection back on things above. I re I redirect my attention. I don't sit there and look at something a bit. I redirect my attention. So your attention can't stay on it long.

If it's if your attention stay there, you going to do it sooner or later. You got to replace it with the word of God. And once you replace it, you got to redirect your attention. You got to put that mind back on God. You got to put that mind, you you got to

filter those thought. If if you going to be whatsoever whatsoever is just, whatsoever is honest, you got to redirect your attention. You got to get back into thinking. Right. Now, here's the final one. You might have to remove yourself from the environment. You might have to if you're gonna handle this temptation, you might have to

remove yourself from the environment. You sitting there being tempted. You ain't got to the door is open. He's made a way escape. that. In other words, if he has made a way of escape, you got to be willing to remove yourself from that environment. If you being tempted there, why you keep going there?

If you've recognized that it was temptation, why you keep No, you got to remove yourself from the environment. Get up from that environment. Why you leaving so soon? I got to remove myself from this environment. I I I I I got to redirect my attention, this environment. I got to remove myself from the environment. That's what Joseph

did. Now, that was between a a man and a woman. Joseph removed himself. He recognized what it and he rejected. That's what Joseph did. Anybody that overcame temptation, they recognized it. They rejected. Oh, God. They replaced it with the word of God. They redirected their attention and they removed themselves. That's the same thing that happened in the hall pin

with the product of son. I got to go. He recognized, man, I God got more. This ain't this ain't it. And he rejected that hog pin and he replaced it with a word. He said, "Hey, my father got better than this and I'm sitting here taking this." No, he redirected his attention back to his father house and

he removed himself from that environment. That's how you handle the temptation. And my brothers and sisters, if you can get control of that temptation, if you can walk, watch, and pray, God will always give you the best. If you can just ask God to help you. Lead me not there, God, into temptation. Help me to

watch and pray. I just gave you a wonderful word. All you got to do now is share it. I know it's not one of these messages that make you run around the church and stuff like that. But people are running around the church and they're falling to temptations. And I'm not just talking about uh sexual

temptations, but they are failing. They are speaking in tongue, but they are falling to temptations. God knows he still love you even though you're attempted and he's giving you the ability to overcome it. I just show but you got to have a spirit a willing spirit and some people's spirit are not willing to overcome it. Some people

don't want to put up in a fight. They don't want to put up they don't want to they don't want to they don't want to do it God's way. They want to handle the flesh. You can't handle the flesh your own way. You've got to handle the flesh God's way. And if you're going to handle

the flesh, you got to walk in the spirit. Now, that don't mean you walking around on your job, lifting hands, speaking in tongue. Walking in the spirit is keeping God within your mind. Asking God to help you on a daily. Asking God to help you to overcome. You don't have to be all jaken and shaking

and driving your car. No, no, no, no. To live in the spirit is to pray when God says pray. Read that word. Get it down in your spirit. Meditate on it before you go. You ain't got to lay down. You know, you got to go to work. You ain't got to be late for work cuz you going to

meditate and you're going to lose your job. But you must develop a relationship with God and be like Jesus. Not my will but your will. That's the first thing. God, not my will but thy will. God, it's not my will but thy will. And watch how God help you to overcome temptation. You're not in it by yourself. other

people, everybody. There are so many people walking publicly but failing privately because they can't overcome temptation they've given up. Nobody will talk about it and because they think it's a sin to be tempted. No, no, no, no. It's when you welcome it. It's when you nurture it. It's when you take action upon it. That's what happened.

You now no. You just got to walk in the spirit. You okay? I've given you some points. I pray and I'm going to pray for you. I pray that you share this with somebody else. Greater family, I love you so much. Father, we thank you for every word that's been shared on this

book tonight. We thank you tonight that you showed us what temptation was. God, you showed us and now I feel much better, God. I feel like somebody is pushing obstacles out the way. I feel some people is going to defeat the next time they attempt it. I feel it, God. And I thank you right now that every

house has been given the anointing. Every house, every person under my voice, no matter where they are, they have been given the anointing to overcome. Thank you right now, God, for this teaching that you place it upon my heart. Now, God, as we live for you, let us all have this will and let us all,

God, have everything. We're not tempted, God, to go back on your word. We're not tempted to disobey you. We're not tempted anymore. But at your word, God, we we we're not tempted anymore to quit. We're not tempted to to fall to fear. We're not tempted to quit. And God, and when we are tempted, God, we know what
