A Fresh Take On Dungeon Crawling | Boktor Board Game Review

Hey there folks and welcome back to Chits and Cardboard and today I am taking a look at a very streamlined dungeon crawling game designed by Ludovic Adam and published by Fox Troll Games and that game is BTOR. I'll catch you in a second [music]

here in Btor. tyrant has shown up with vortexes attempting to [music] take over the land. You as the group of heroes are attempting to stop that tyrant from taking over before time is up and the vortex has spawned and you are all doomed. You are doing so by picking one of the asymmetric heroes and starting

the game using your action points to defeat the hordes of enemies as well as eventually the [music] tyrant in question. If you do so successfully, you will win botor and that's the basis of what we are doing here. So here we have the game set up for two players and one villain which is Minos in this case. In

this game, you are trying to defeat the villain before the vortex can fully spawn. The way it does so is the villain has a deck where you draw one card between each player's turn. And when you draw one of their cards, one card in that deck will progress the villain across their track. Each time the

villain progresses, you get some sort of bonus. But if the villain gets all the way to the end of their own time track, you will lose the game. As the heroes, you're trying to make sure you are able to spawn and defeat the villain before that happens. Let's get into how you do

that. Heroes in Bour are very asymmetrical. They have unique abilities. They have unique stats like movement and health. And they have a whole deck of unique powers.
