It's Josh here from Cyclones Oz with your detailed Australia one with a forecast update for Wednesday the 28th of October 2026 and a lot of detail to get through today including another severe thunderstorm outbreak through parts of Queensland. This time we're going to be focusing on the central portions of the state. So

Rockampton, Gladston and Bunberg, it might be your turn to get some much neededed rainfall before another potential severe thunderstorm outbreak through southeastern parts of the state later in the week. Today is another interesting day and it shouldn't catch us by surprise because there is a capping inversion in place right now, but it is a little bit weaker and as a

result we are expecting thunderstorm activity to occur uh for good up in towards central Queensland. Uh so places like Rockampton, Ladston and Bundberg should finally get their turn, but we'll also see areas on the Sunshine Coast likely to see a thunderstorm later today as well.
