This case is just tragic. It is just terribly tragic. When DCF and police showed up to a home in Sarasota, Florida for a welfare check, they found a 5-year-old girl alone in a room with no air conditioning on a 90° day. Her diaper was so soiled it was almost ripping apart from the weight. Her hair

was matted with food and debris. She couldn't speak. And on top of it all, when police found her parents, they were apparently sitting outside under a tent drinking beer. Sarasota police say that in September of 2025, they received a tip claiming a girl was being locked in a room and neglected. But what

investigators actually walked into was so much worse than they ever could have prepared for because both parents, Crystal Kates and Torrance BS tested positive for cocaine, THC, alcohol, and even worse, BS had already told a neighbor he killed a dog with a shovel and buried it in the front yard.
