Tell me more about the pre-existence of Christ from the Quran. Actually, what you find in the Quran is an aping of biblical themes where Muhammad is adopting certain Christian beliefs in order to entice Christians to take his message seriously. But little does he realize that the things that he adopts from Christian theology are things that end up proving that he can’t be a true prophet,

proving that the Quran is inconsistent, incoherent, and full of errors, and thereby proving that the Quran is not the word of the true God. And what do I mean here? You have in the Quran a specific passage which echoes what we would say, Johannine Logos Christology. Now I know those are fancy terms, but you know it is when you get Christians,

they come up with fancy terms to sound intelligent. Right. Right. So we need to sound intelligent as well. But may the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified. What I mean there is that in the Quran, Muhammad affirms that Jesus is the Word of Allah. Now, for argument’s sake, we’re going to assume Allah is the true God,

even though we know better, that the Allah of the Quran is not the true God of the Holy Bible. Right. That’s right. He [clears throat] affirms that Jesus is the Word of God and a spirit that proceeded from God entered Mary to become flesh. This is an echo of what we find in the Gospel of John, specifically the prologue in John 1:1–18,

because it’s John who speaks of Jesus being the eternal Word, which in Greek is the Logos. That’s why I said Logos Christology, the teaching of Christ that says that he existed in eternity as the Word of the Father, the perfect revelation of the Father, and became flesh.
