tents. [Music] Almost two years of war. And here in Israel, what we see is a polarized and weary society. Nearly 70% of people want an end to the conflict. All anyone talks about is the return of the hostages. The humanitarian drama on the other side of Gaza is invisible to many people. Meanwhile
, the Middle East is trembling and will certainly not emerge the same after all this. [Music] [Applause]
[Music] In Gaza, extreme scarcity drives a crowd to despair as they try to obtain supplies. It's a journey of uncertainty for 2.1 million inhabitants. This number, incidentally, is an estimate of the population, already taking into account the more than 60,000 who lost their lives in the war. According to the IPC classification, a
reliable indicator of hunger, 93% of people fall into the acute food insecurity category. One in three goes days without managing anything, including babies who succumb under tents without a drop of milk. In 2025, 74 deaths due to malnutrition were recorded , 63 of them in July alone. The World Health Organization issued the
warning. Malnutrition in Gaza is reaching alarming levels. Taken in by his mother, Mohamed Almatuque, a one-and-a-half-year-old baby appeared in a photo that went viral, giving a human face to the tragedy that frames existence and an infernal backdrop. R Abuar, an architect who lives in the enclave, gives an account of daily life there.
