Faith does not wait for visible proof before it rejoices. Faith rejoices because God has already spoken. The heart that trusts the word learns to celebrate before circumstances change. This is not pretending that problems do not exist. This is believing that God's promise is greater than present evidence. Faith looks beyond what the eyes can see. Faith listens to what God

has already said. Faith stands where the promise stands. Faith refuses to be ruled by appearances. Faith finds peace in the character of God. The Lord does not ask his children to rejoice because life is always easy. He asks them to rejoice because his word never fails. The promise is stronger than the delay. The covenant is greater than the waiting. The truth

remains even when feelings change. God never changes his mind because circumstances change. His promise remains firm. His faithfulness never weakens. His power never decreases. His love never fades. The one who understands this begins to live differently. Joy becomes a response to God's promise. Peace becomes the fruit of confidence in him. Hope grows stronger

instead of weaker. The waiting season becomes a place of expectation instead of frustration. Many people believe rejoicing belongs at the end of the journey. God teaches that rejoicing belongs in the middle of the journey. He teaches his people to sing before the answer appears. He teaches them to praise before the victory becomes visible. This is the language of faith.

This is the posture of trust. This is the heart that knows God cannot lie. Isaiah gives a remarkable picture of this truth. The Lord speaks to a barren woman. The condition is real. The emptiness is real. The waiting is real. Yet the command is not to mourn. The command is to sing. The Lord says to rejoice before the child exists. He says to celebrate before the promise is seen.
