hello everyone uh welcome to the session on climate change in this session we will discuss climate change focusing specifically on its impact on temperature rainfall and extreme weather events initially we can begin by discussing climate change climate change refers to the average long-term changes over the entire Earth these changes include increasing temperature and

changes in precipitation as well as the effects of Earth warming such as rising sea levels sinking long laying Islands shrinking or melting Mountain glaciers Etc and these shifts may be natural but human activities have been the main driver of climate change primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal oil and gas which produces heat trapping

gases called greenhouse gases greenhouse gases are atmospheric gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect then why are they called greenhouse gases they absorb heat radiating from the Earth's surface and release it in all directions greenhouse gases consist of carbon dioxide methane then nitrous oxide chlorofluorocarbons Etc Burning uh fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas

emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the earth trapping the sun's heat and Rising temperatures what are the major reasons for the emission of greenhouse gases human activities are responsible for almost all of the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere over the last 150 years clearing land and cutting down forest

can also release carbon dioxide energy industry transport buildings Agriculture and land use are among the main sectors causing greenhouse gases then what are the consequences of the production of greenhouse gases greenhouse gases stap heat in the atmosphere warming the planet these changes in concentration can cause warming and are having an impact various aspects of climate
