good morning it's good to see [Music] you li 25 [Music] uhhuh the sun's [Music] back simp we're back in Cuda laok on the beach not far from Cuda Central I've stopped for a uh a Beachside coffee I'm right up the oh you want me to buy one from you one from you okay

so Lio okay sat sat I think it's only fair huh it's only fair they can't work side by side and um there's not a lot of not a lot of business up this end of Cuda Beach so um we don't want to we don't want we don't want to have anyone feeling left out now she's going to

upsell me into some noodles but

sud nice nice nice I've attracted a little bit of a gathering now and we're actually having a a nice conversation we're talking about wives and and that difficult conversation well it's not a difficult conversation it's something they don't particularly understand we I know we've covered it in in another video but yeah to grasp the idea that

you would wander around Alone um is a little bit confusing to to people but um yeah that's okay lots of things confuse us we had an accident uh you had an accident yeah second day and uh we are having a treatment almost all week and we're cing few bites um in the CA and in

the Guk area and first impressions very nice it's very beautiful what can I ask the about the accident what what you came off the scooter yeah from the scooter we're driving straight and one Indonesian woman uh become in the front of us and we hit her actually and we fell down from the scooter and and she

also fell down no she she wasn't any damage to anything I have damage yeah she know yeah was there any problems in that accident did you have to pay any money or anything like that yeah yeah it's like how it works in Indonesia General when you are hitting somebody Foreigner is all the time it's um your fault yeah

it's his fault yeah I've heard before that people say that um the accident would not have happened if you hadn't come to the country you know so this is this is can I be really intrusive and ask how much did it cost to to pay out of this accident I'm I'm not paying in

the place we are going next day to the shop with repairing bikes some to surv and uh in this survice they make me a bill and I pay for the parts only and it was she has Scoopy scoy 20 22 yeah and I pay 1 and half million okay yeah okay near $100 so it's yeah you can live with

it it's not it's not going to change your holiday but it's still not a pleasant thing to experience yeah a little bit change because I'm D I couldn't work for a it looks quite bad can I have a look yeah yeah yeah you take took the skin off the knee wow yeah it was here on your arm as well on your

elbows here a little bit wow so it's one week almost recovered but one week it was quite difficult difficult to move how long how long have you got left now in Lok uh we are planning to stay one and a half months more oh excellent oh you'll see lots of Lok in that time yeah yeah I

hope so that we will not happen anything else and we will be able to explore s well I hope I hope things improve and you enjoy your there thank you so much for letting me asking your questions it's really generous of you thank you I always welcome your email so thanks very much for those that take the

time to send me a personal email at my contact um I am getting a few now so please excuse me if it takes me a little while to get back to you but you don't hesitate to say hello but there've been a couple of people asking me about costs and how much it's costing me to uh to

stay in Cuda lombok just to preface this we all travel differently what will suit me and what I can contend with or coope with or or or how I choose to um travel is going to be vastly different to the next person so um take from this what you will so for a room with air conditioning

on Suite about 500 M from the beach uh I pay $10 a night it hasn't got hot water and the Wi-Fi is iffy at best so um that can be a little bit frustrating for me with with obviously what I do um my food comes to about 50 $1 a day I get

breakfast included in that um $10 a night at my accommodation that's just a simple banana pancake with a little bit of Honey over the top um they give me free coffee throughout the course of the day they leave a little flask and sugar and coffee out the front for us to use which I'm very grateful for um the

scooter the scooter cost me $5 a day I've noticed the scooter higher in lombok or in particular in southern lombok Cuda lombok um is pretty fixed like I I I I'm gener I'm pretty good at negotiating things and um it seems that everyone's agreed throughout here that this is the cost of the bike and um it's

um not going to go any lower than that so yeah paying $5 a day for that incidentals I guess are about $10 a day uh that'll be for bits and pieces whether it be water and I might have it one beer look in total in total I'm spending about $40 Australian dollars a

day which is 25 us I think obviously if you're staying in a place longer it becomes cheaper because you can negotiate your your room rate I negotiated my room rate from $15 Australian a night down to 10 uh they didn't move on the scooter um I also find I eat at the same places and my

portions have become a little bit bigger and um yeah you develop relationships and all that but um that may not be the way you travel uh but for those who inquired or asked about um my cost there they are I really I really really enjoy these uh Beachside warong that are set up and

have been here since I can remember out the the front of cuda's um main main Center but I did notice here now that um construction's beginning it seemed they seem to have marked out the uh the area this was where you used to park your motorbikes but uh from what I can see

they're marking po or uh where foundations are going to go and and I'm not sure what it's going to be I don't imagine it's for parking I'd suggest that this is going to become a concrete box which will um yeah change a little bit of the feel here even though it's when it rains it gets full

of water and it's muddy and it's it's a little bit difficult to get into it sort of retains a bit of character but um like everywhere else the bricks are coming I hope I hope this isn't um affected by it myself I I just hope they retain these little Wongs because they're just

they're just so pleasant and so local and you feel like it's um it's a little bit authentic you know but as I say like everything else around here it's all um it's all becoming a little bit concrete okay okay okay I'm looking like say Loa the lady's been trying the lady's been trying to sell me coconuts for a

week I should probably get one you know actually you know what I'm going to get one I'm going to get one she's always she always does it in a very um in a very jovial friendly fun way and and I respect that and like that as opposed to some people that can be a little bit a

little bit overbearing

and Li okay Li blast M buo wow wow Li Li okay yeah yeah yeah you got to try and look it's fun you know it's fun yeah Mak yeah but there's a little bit of fun to be had in it as well you know people say oh I don't like haggling I don't you

know I don't enjoy it I just want to fix price but you know if you on little insignificant things like a dollar $2 um the haggling is just a bit of fun for me it's just not about the price at all you know like that interaction there and there seems to be some kind of respect

in that from some from some people when you do engage in that in a in a fun friendly way you know if you if you bring an attitude with it you're not going to have any fun at all but yeah I I don't my a little bit of haggling [Music] okay uhhuh and

oh oh yeah yeah okay okay oh yeah yeah mon Liu no duu Kil yeah yeah oh okay yeah M say haven't had a coconut for a while I've also fixed my departure date from uh kud Lok I'll be leaving here on the 12th in another 5 or 6 days I think it is and with a Visa coming to an end

another one coming to an end um I won't be going any further east I'll swing back through barley I'll be in barley for a few days then uh back home to Perth for a week or so and then we are going to do our barley tour so we probably have another two videos from

Kuda lombok and then it'll be uh back to Barley where I'm looking forward to getting to know a few people there as always thanks very much for coming along I hope you're well and happy in life and doing the things you want to do all right we'll see you soon
