All right. Thank you very much and for that introduction and good morning, good afternoon to everyone. I'm sure we start I want to recognize a couple of key contributors to this presentation Rafael Vieira and Kristof Kleinclaus who have created and and worked on many of the slides I will show today that will not present
but they certainly are a strong part of this this presentation. I want to also make sure that everybody understands we're talking about the aviation part of the defense industry. So everybody's if you're expecting anything beyond that like ground transportation or or maritime parts of the defense industry, that is not the topic today. We will have other
webinars focusing on that but today we're basically focusing on anything that flies and and and what what we can do in terms of CFD to support the development of those kinds of vehicles. So here's a quick overview of what we want to talk about. I will start with you know some of the industry challenges
that we are seeing right now and the opportunities that come out of that. You know, we all know that the defense industry is going a very very dramatic phase of of of change, fundamental change and I will talk about a little bit you know, what that is. Everybody kind of knows but I want to
summarize it and what that means for simulation and CFD in particular. I will then spend some time talking about the Lattice Boltzmann uh method and that is going to be the centerpiece of what we talk about you know, when we talk about CFD in the context of what Simulia and and and the
so system offers offers it is centered around the Lattice Boltzmann technology and the two powerful that we have. So that will be about 90% of what we talk about here and I want to present a little bit of a history of that of that development of that tool as Andrew said I was involved in that from almost the
