The Ryelian movement established in 1974 by by Claude Vorhillon who later adopted the name Ryel is often regarded as a cult due to its unconventional beliefs, charismatic leadership, and

tightly controlled community structure. It combines elements of extraterrestrial worship, scientific aspirations, and alternative social norms, creating a distinct identity that sets it apart from mainstream religions and even many other new religious movements. The Railian movement's lack of connection to established religions, reliance on a single charismatic leader, and introduction of entirely new doctrines and high levels of control

over members align it with the characteristics of a cultic movement rather than a sect. In this video, we're going to focus on some of the key doctrines, timeline, and why the Realia movement is classified as a cult. The Valia movement exhibits many of the hallmarks of a cult, particularly its focus on a singular leader, strict

adherance to unique doctrines and separation from social norms. Key features include extraterrestrial worship. The Railian belief system is rooted in the idea that humanity was created by advanced extraterrestrial beings called the Elohim. Rail claims these beings were mistaken for gods by early humans and that their return depends on humanity achieving global peace. This extraterrestrial focus

provides the real movement with a creation myth that directly challenges conventional religious narratives. Rael claimed to be the final prophet chosen by the Elohim and this positions him as the sole authority within the movement. Followers are expected to accept his teachings unquestioningly which range from detailed descriptions of the Elohim to directives about members
