Malachi 3:1. I'm going to post the first part of it: "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his Temple. Right? Even the messenger of the Covenant, whom ye delight in, behold, he shall come, sayeth the Lord of hosts, Jehovah of hosts."
So let's break down the verse now. This prophecy says a messenger will be sent to prepare people for the coming of the Lord, the Lord who's coming to his Temple. Okay, first fact: the words "the Lord" in Hebrew are *Ha Adon* or *Adan Ha Adon*. This phrase is never used, these words are never used, for anyone other than the true God Jehovah.
The words *Ha Adon*, "the Lord," the phrase *Ha Adon*, are only used for Jehovah in the Hebrew scriptures. This is used of Jehovah, and it's used in Exodus 23:17. But note these down; we're not going to look at all of them: Exodus 34:24, Isaiah 1:24, Isaiah 3:1, Isaiah 10:16 and 33, Isaiah 19:4, Micah 4:13, and here in Malachi 3:1.
Only used of Jehovah. Now, here's what's interesting. Let's go to Isaiah 1:24: "Therefore sayeth the Lord." Guess what that is in Hebrew? "Therefore sayeth *Ha Adon*." Who's *Ha Adon*? The Lord of hosts, Jehovah of hosts, the mighty one of Israel. So who's the Lord here, *Adon* in Isaiah 1:24? Jehovah of hosts. He is *Adon*, the mighty one of Israel.
"Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries and avenge me of mine enemies." So there it is. Now, let's just look at one more verse.
