[Music] We continue to see ourselves in our paintings. This week, in our frame, we have Mustafa Özel, an important name in his generation and in figurative painting. Mustafa, welcome to our program. It's good to be here. Generally, we start with artists and painters, relating it to how they started their artistic careers, even their childhoods.

However, that period, childhood, is more about curiosity than a period where passions are determined. Therefore, I prefer to ask my guests how they started their professional art careers or at what point they started their professional art life. In this sense, how would you define yourself? Is there a specific period or point in your life,

or how would you define yourself? Yes, so, as a painter, an artist, or specifically a painter, the process of an individual starting this actually begins with recognizing their own personal data. First of all, at least in the childhood period, as you mentioned, then high school, then university, after getting to know people, you

open a studio. So, as an entity, you stand in one place, you stand in another, in a sense, when we think about it in an artistic perspective, that graduate... Did you open it after you? Sir, was your studio opened after your university graduation? Yes, I graduated from Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education in 1984, and after that I opened my

studio. We opened it as a group, and for a while we were used to exhibitions together in Maltepe. Then this journey diverged. The process of a professional painter actually means realizing life through art. In a simple sense, I worked at YPE University for about 4 or 5 years, as you know.
