Itemization in Deadlock is just really complicated. There's a bunch of numbers. Half of them you probably don't even understand. And buying the right items will make or break your game. >> Oh god. >> Today we're going to talk about the three golden rules of itemization in Deadlock. So you can actually counter the enemy instead of yourself and win
more games. Let's get right into it. What's up friends? This is Metro and today we're going to talk about one of my favorite topics of all time, which is counter items. And it's also one of the most misunderstood topics in Deadlock. and I'll give you four different tips to make your counter item buys super simple
and hopefully after this video you will never buy the wrong item or too many items again. We'll base this on actual games being played in Eternal so you can follow along easily and it's not going to be like a [ __ ] theory craft session. Okay, let's get right into it. First thing you should always do when
buying counter items is look at the enemy team comp in the pregame lobby. You have nothing else to do anyways, right? you're in loading screen, you're voting for your new hero or you're, you know, like thinking about changing, but it takes like a total of 10 seconds to figure out what the enemy is going to
bring usually. And this way, you can plan ahead and counter before the enemy has even started. And this is like just one really basic example of where I loaded into the lobby. I looked at their team comp and I can tell at first glance that this is going to be a very spirit
heavy comp by the enemy. Calico, Spirit, Na, Solomon, spirit support that does some gun damage, right? Page support, but the DPS, the main damage output of the enemy team is almost full spirit damage. I know this because Infernace has after burn. So even if Infernace builds some gun items, you know, the main damage you'll take is spirit.
