good day class welcome to uh chapter three the different kinds of obligations

so we have a primary classification of obligations uh for this video we shall be discussing pure and conditional obligations and obligations with a period other primary classifications are alternative and facultative obligations we have joint and solidarity obligations we have divisible and indivisible obligations and we have obligations with a penal clause and we also have these uh secondary

classification of obligations so let's go ahead let's go on to a pure obligation what is a pure obligation class appear obligation is immediately demandable it's not subject to any condition or period so uh an example of that is p obliges himself to pay c 1000 pesos so when is it demandable when is the one thousand pesos demanded

it is demandable immediately it is demand the world now that's why it is pure it is not subject to any condition or peer use now we have a conditional obligation what is a conditional obligation a conditional obligation is an obligation which is subject to acquisition the condition may be suspensive or respiratory so what is the meaning of a condition

a condition is a future and uncertain event take note of the end class that's very important a future and uncertain event it may also refer to a past event but it is unknown to both of the parties all right that's one upon the happening of the condition the obligation either becomes effective so that is a suspensive condition

or extinguished which is a resolutory condition we'll be discussing more about that later on future and uncertain
