Every Christian is a walking battlefield. Whether you see it physically or not, or feel it personally or not, we are in a war and Satan is trying to destroy our soul. Most people don't wake up thinking, "I'm stepping into a battlefield today." Yes, the battle is real. You've already won the war, but you got some battles to fight
between now and when you get to heaven. The Bible says that which is in us is called our soul. But we rarely stop to ask even though we use that term. What is the soul? What is it? So here are three things to remember about your soul based on the truth of God's word. First of all,
your soul completes your body. What are you made of? Well, what are the essential components that make you you? Your body is certainly part of the answer. It is physical of your existence. The flesh and bones and organs and systems, the astonishing network of 30 to 40 trillion cells working together every moment your body
generates energy. It processes information. It sustains life in ways that are nothing short of remarkable. The human body is an organic masterpiece. But it is not the whole story. There are aspects of you that cannot be reduced to physical processes. Your thoughts, your memories, your loves, your longings, your sense of right and wrong. These are not made of
muscle or bone. Yet, they are undeniably real. They belong to another dimension of your existence. I think this dichotomy grows up really early in the Bible. Genesis 2:7 says, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living
being." Notice the two components. First of all, the body formed from the dust. Then the breath of life, God's divine impartation. It was only when these two came together that man became a living soul. It's a good thing to remember this. Listen to me carefully. You might want to write this one down.
