I'm going on a bit of a walk today to the outer reaches of aood the Southern suburbs past pelan and hopefully into the uh into the rice fields and talk to some locals with such a walk ahead of me we need to get a good breakfast into us so we're going to have a western

breakfast this morning and I usually have it here it's um Moringa UB so Sal py [Music] yeah s sat

omelet oh sat sat okay do I do occasionally these little mixups do happen and I have to accept responsibility for some of them sometimes cuz my my Indonesian is not that good so instead of enjoying one great bre breakfast for my long hike today I get to enjoy too and that's probably a good thing cuz I'll probably

actually need it let's eat if second breakfast is is good enough for Hobbits it's good enough for me all right let's go for a walk with a little bit of nicer weather I feel a bit more comfortable heading up to Armed now so on the way down on my walk I'm going to pick up a ticket hopefully to Armed

one of the problems um I think we have here though is it would be dependent on how many people want to go um I know online you have to book two tickets um but maybe we can pick a day with there's some other people going we'll find out uh if that's possible here

forever lots of turtles lines these octopus look like they're quite popular there's loads of these lots of elephants a flar octopus just in Marvel isn't it the um single piece of wood's just huge rhinoceros Miss lucky lucky demand a b like

they're like the big pagod you see them in most Banas that they hold um uh they're like a community center I guess they they're playing badmington but um neppi celebrations are uh getting underway with the these paper masche I think they pay for Mase um beasts and beasts and monsters that uh people

they parade around um it actually wouldn't be bad to stop by every now and again and see how they're progressing I don't know what to say really I know it's been probably 10 years since I've walked out the this way but I I it's just it's just all Villas and guest houses and um the speed in which it's

turned into all this is pretty astounding really woo starting to warm up the warm weather's back I've only just now got to the uh sort of limits or the boundary of the new development so but it's going on everywhere I'm ass assuming that this is sort of towards the edge of the Southern

development of Villas and that in um in

saying maybe someone can correct me but um he's worried that if I walk on there it'll just collapse um and I get it I understand I I would like to go over and watch the the machine work in the fields though so we might see if we can get around it somehow yeah yeah

and yeah yeah okay okay yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah you see these little Huts sort of peppered around the rice fields um and it's where they sort of I guess they sleep overnight and theyve got their cows and a little bit of a bed and some coconuts there to eat in the toilet and

um if the work's on I guess they uh they spend I don't know at least nights there probably weeks but um couple of cows and simple lodgings simple life been walking about 2 or 3 hours since I left the room today and in this sun I'm actually quite fatigued quite worn out um and it makes

you think or consider someone of Buck's age out there with a hoe doing physical work like that the stamina the stamina he must have you know um and it's not uncommon to see 60 65 year old ladies bent over planning rice all the time so what I'm going to do I'm going to

uh I'm going to leave a bottle of water for the pack cuz surely surely he must get hot but I don't see any water there with

him look how see so leave that next to his bike and he can have a have a spell I'm actually feeling the heat a little bit today and uh I think I'm going to take a spell I might stop in this little water I'm and have a coffee and just take the load off for five minutes

yeah back into the uh back into the thick of it in abood central or just coming up to abud Central Fiasco is feeling it a little bit he's uh he's only walked about 10 or 12 km and uh old age doesn't come alone I know I say it a lot but you know you just sort

of um you just have to manage it you know I guess you know once I could walk 20 or 30ks in the day and still feel quite strong at the end of it but now I guess the you know the Sun and not having a lot of heat recently has probably played a little bit of a part

in it but um yeah I'm beat I had aspirations of doing other things today but um I think we're just going to pick up some food and head back to the room for a shower edit the video and probably have a bit of a nap I've stopped again because um I am really quite feeling it today

for some reason I haven't um haven't been this lacking in energy for a while since um I was feeling ill that time The Hangover you can deal with but I think I might have got a little bit of been affected by the heat a little bit today these stairs feel quite steep

today well there we have it I didn't get exactly what I wanted out of today but um that's okay it happens like that sometimes I'm completely shattered actually but um as always thanks for much for coming along I uh I hope you're well and happy in life and doing the things you wanted to I'm going to eat
