Raise Your Relationships | PASTOR DAVID COOPER | Mount Paran Church

Well, this morning I want to begin a series of three sermons on the chemistry of relationships. Now, I know that when you're a sermon on relationships, you're probably going to sit there very quietly, so an amen every now and again will be very helpful. Today, I want to talk about three basic laws

of good relationships and how to raise your relationships to a new level. Let's join together for prayer. Father, thank you for your word and may your word truly be a light unto our path, a lamp unto our feet, and lead us and guide us into all truth. And I pray that this message today, Lord, will

bring hope and healing in our relationships in Jesus' name. And God's people said, "Amen." Henry Ford was once asked, "Who is your best friend?" He said, "My best friend is the person who brings out the best in me." Our lives turn on the axis of our relationships. Our relationships make us or break us.

Our relationships enrich our lives and at times they ensnare us. Our relationships bring us tremendous joy and at times they break our heart. Our relationships are the central part of every aspect of our lives. When Jesus was asked, "What is the greatest of all the commandments of the Old Testament?" At that time, the rabbis

taught that there were 613 commandments. He had a lot to pick from. He said, "The greatest commandment is love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and strength. And the second is like unto the first, love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus collapsed all of true religion and all of spirituality down to relationships.

The quality of our relationship with God and the quality of our relationships with one another. When God created Adam, he put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And then God made this observation about man. It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.
