all right welcome back to new touch designer tutorial and in this one we are creating some beautiful particle shapes or particle paths using the newish particles GPU component from the 2022 touch designer version and yeah we're going to use some forces and some some lookups here for this particles GPU to create this output that you can see here
on the left and generally the particle CPU is just a lot of fun to to work with and we're gonna look at this uh in in several videos now actually so yeah without further Ado let's just get started so as always I'm just going to delete my entire network and we're going to start with the
particles GPU before we get started however I've actually set my FPS to 120. so if you have a decent graphics card that should be no problem it doesn't really run that well right now when I'm recording but usually it runs smoothly with 120 and especially when you're working then with feedback to add some
Trails it's a much smoother nicer experience so I can recommend that all right so I'm going to open my palette go to tools particles GPU and just drag that in my network and let's just have a closer look here just gonna close this for now all right so by default this is the
example some leaves falling down depending on your version of touch designer you might see a different example but it should still all work well so what you might notice here is that we don't have to stop input and we've gotten a lot of questions about that on my audio reactive article Cloud so we're
going to look at that in another video for this one we can actually use the default examples here or like some default shapes to spawn the particles or to to birth the particles so I'm just going to hit a and H in here so I've got my camera centered and I'm gonna get rid of my post
