PM050 1.0 Introduction

all right let's go through the introduction in our template here so we'll go through each of the sections individually I'm not going to give you a ton of details on how to fill this out for the particular case you are working on for the assignment uh but I will talk about the the document in the context of

umusic so if you'll recall uh we provided you with a case study earlier in the semester here it's worthwhile going through this you'll start to see things like the vision and the mission some of the products they offer maybe some ideas around uh data and then uh maybe what they're sort of thinking

about in the future so you could use this as maybe a a launching point or a jumping off point on filling out some of the sections in the template here so let's look at the first one the introduction this section of the template really describes the purpose you know the business objectives the

goals the scope of the project it should try to answer the question why should the organization spend time and money on the proposed projects right the introduction section or the introduction section also provides the reader with an overview to Aid the navigation so our documents in this class may be you know 10 to 20 pages I mean it varies from

student to student but I think most documents on average are sort of somewhere between the the 15 to 20 Page Mark you can definitely have more pages be very cautious of giving less Pages um but the uh in Industry these requirements documents might be hundreds of pages right and so how do you

navigate this if you're new to an organization if you're a consultant if you're not quite sure uh you know what the uh uh organization stands for what it's about well you should get that from the introductory section here so at a very high level why are we doing this kind of stuff uh introduction always
