A day in the life of a resident in LTC

foreign [Music] in the morning and I have a banana and a cup of coffee then I checked the computer to see if I have anything exciting going on I go to therapy at 8 30. I ended up in the hospital and I had no feeling from the waist down I do are my exercises

it's helped me walk again then I come back Mila does my makeup and my hair she's very giving and she's fun and I love her and if she leaves I believe in you when I first came in here I guess I just wasn't interested in what was going around me I was too I guess I was really

feeling sorry for myself but then the program a manager put me in touch with the Ontario Association of residence councils I do presentations I do education and they really gave me a purpose in life [Music] Gardens I've been here for five years now it was the best place for me to be there's an exercise class today and most

people join in I was always very very active and so they will help me through the various exercises and they make me feel good I'm looking forward to being part of the music therapy and I think music is a universal language I know it's helped a lot of people we are chatting a lot and we're finding

out about each other and that's how friendships grow they might say something that you've never heard of that you would like to learn more about and makes you feel so good if you know somebody when you meet them in the hall it's something special to do we don't know if we're going to be around
