I Quit Ads... Forever.

Ads are everywhere, and they're just getting louder, longer, and more annoying than ever before. With YouTube accidentally serving [music] 90-second long ads on smart TVs and raising their premium subscription to a whopping $16 a month, I've decided enough is enough. Life is short, and I'm sure as heck not trying to waste it by watching

advertisements. I need a way to stop getting blasted by those obnoxious, obtrusive ads on every device I own. My computer, my phone, even my TV. Nothing is safe. And if I can find one, I'll save myself not only $160 a year, but also the time wasted watching ads. And time is money, so really, I'm killing

two birds with one stone. Of course, there's everyone's favorite UBlock. [music] If you don't already use it, I'd be surprised. But, I've been hearing that there's something out there that's even better. Something that'll block ads on not just a browser, but on anything. And that something is called Pi-hole. But, I'm curious to see just how good is

Pi-hole really. Will it be just as good as my best friend UBlock Origin, or will it be more effort than it's worth? When I first looked up some videos on Pi-hole to get me started, there'd always be a Raspberry Pi in them. I thought I'd have to use one of those if I wanted Pi-hole.

It's in the name, after all. But, those little things are so expensive nowadays. I wasn't going to spend $50 for a computer with one measly gig of RAM. Then, I went to Pi-hole's actual website and found something that blew my mind. You don't even need a Raspberry Pi. You can install Pi-hole on literally

anything. Linux, Windows, Mac, it doesn't matter. And this is all made possible with the power of something called Docker, which lets you launch apps in just a couple minutes. So, there was no excuse to put this off any longer. It was time to put an old PC to good use and rehire it as my personal ad
