Father José Eduardo de Oliveira e Silva, I am a priest here in the diocese of Osasco and São Paulo, and I am the parish priest in a parish dedicated to Saint Dominic, who is the founder of the Order of Preachers, also called the Dominican Order because of his name, Dominic. because I am here in the Saint Dominic parish, and my personal history, my calling, my profile of service in the church, has always made me very much in tune with the ideals of the Dominican vocation. So, in a way, when we talk about Dominican spirituality, although God, brothers and sisters of the diocesan priests,

I am talking about what touches my ministry quite a bit, both because I serve in a parish dedicated to Saint Dominic. Domingos, regarding my personal journey, I've been greatly inspired by the lifestyle and spirituality of Saint Dominic. Of course, we have spiritual influences from many sides, right? In my case, I have a

very old charismatic background, dating back to my adolescence. I was also greatly influenced by Saint Josemaría Escrivá and the spirituality of Opus Dei. I was also greatly influenced by Carmelite spirituality; in some way, I'm also connected to the Carmelite family, and also to the Jesuit family, because I joined the Marian congregation from a very young age, and

all that militant, combative spirit of the Society of Jesus has always pleased me greatly. In the end, we are Catholics, and in some way, these influences fall upon us.
