Okay, I used to think Preview was the most basic PDF reader until I took a closer look and noticed it's actually many different apps packed into one. So, here are over 30 features hiding [music] inside Preview. Before we get to some really wide stuff, let's start with PDFs because that probably still is
Preview's main job. And even here, there's a lot going on. Like you might already know, you can show page thumbnails for any PDF and then simply drag pages into whatever order you want. But what most people miss is that we can also pull pages out of Preview entirely, like onto the desktop, and they
instantly become their own new PDF. And this also works in reverse. Open two documents side by side and we can drag pages into the other to merge them. You can even do this with images and they just become new pages of that PDF. You don't have to convert them first. Plus, you don't even have to use that tiny
sidebar. Open the contact sheet and now you've got this big overview of every page and you can drag new pages in here, too. email. And this is important. If there's info in the PDF that you really don't want to share, never just draw a black box over it because somebody might still be able to remove that. Instead, use the redact tool for both text and images. You see, once you save that document, the actual text and image data
underneath is permanently gone. But here's the thing, as soon as you open an image file, Preview basically switches into a completely different mode with different tools. Like how we can now easily remove the background of any photo with a single click from the toolbar. You can also do this manually in Preview. Just
