Do Carrier - Broker Relationships Work?

Let's talk about building relationships with brokers as dispatchers or as carriers. My name is Dennis. This is Never Stop Trucking. Now, what are the good sides and bad sides of building those relationships, right? Whatever that means and I can go further into that, I guess. What does that even mean? So, what are

the good things? The good things are for the broker and carrier that they have someone consistent that they Brokers can rely on a carrier, on a good carrier, and their good drivers to deliver that load safely and on time. And the carrier can rely on the broker and having consistent lanes and not to

worry about looking for other loads and knowing what their week is going to look like, like their schedule. They can plan on a certain amount of money coming in and they don't have to worry about not getting paid because they know this broker and they don't have to worry about uh uh bad communication

with broker because again, they know them. They have experience and everything is perfect. Now, the bad sides for the carrier in this situation is that if this broker goes down, if they go bankrupt, then or if they start not paying, then you have a lot of invoices, a lot of receivables in in in those accounts

waiting for you and broker suddenly start starts not to pay, then you have a big problem, right? Because there's a big chunk of money with that broker that where they owe you. Sometimes people will do that mistake. They will only concentrate on one broker or on couple of them or maybe this broker will have 50% of their loads

and something happens, then you can you can shut down your company, right? You're not going to be able, especially if this is like hundreds of thousands of dollars that they owe you, right? So, that there is that big risk, okay? And then also even if they pay after a while and you only work with this one broker for a
