companions, and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment. Now then, O Muslims, servants of God, we must begin today and remind ourselves of some important principles. So I begin by reminding myself and you that our religion is Islam, and this Islam is the religion that God Almighty has prescribed for

us. Our Lord, Glory be to Him, says: “This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.” Yes, our Lord, Glory be to Him, has approved Islam as our religion, and He will never be displeased with it. Therefore, God Almighty has declared

that He will not accept any other religion from anyone. He, the Most High, said: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.” And God Almighty said: “Indeed, the religion with God is Islam.” Let us return to the

first verse and observe the words of our Lord Glory be to Him, the Most High, and I have perfected My favor upon you. This verse is an explicit text stating that the religion of Islam has not left anything that creation needs in this world or the hereafter without clarifying and explaining it, whatever it may be and whatever its
