[Music] and [Music] [Applause] Welcome to the UNAM University Education Roundtable. This is Melchor Sánchez Mendiola extending a warm welcome. We've already had many episodes of this roundtable, and this time we're starting the eighth season with a new format, with more flexible aspects and greater participation from our guests. We're going to try to cover

several topics. For the first part of this eighth season, we'll have four episodes related to generative artificial intelligence and education. And starting with this program, I'll be joined as co-host by Dr. Guadalupe Badillo. Welcome! Hello Lupita, welcome! Thank you very much. And how exciting! I think we all wake up amazed by the great adventures

that generative artificial intelligence offers us. It has arrived in our lives, in our teaching, in the daily learning that we all experience. We are truly delighted, and I think these will be four very interesting programs with high- quality guests. That's right, Lupita. Thank you very much then. And let's begin. We'll be inserting videos, and

we'll have presentations from what we call Lightning Presentations, from the UNAM's Generative Artificial Intelligence and Education conference that we held in October 2023. This will help disseminate those presentations and interpret them in a respectful, proactive, and academically sound way. I think there's a lot to be gained from this, and let's also take advantage of the

academic dialogue here. None of us who are here, or who will be participating, have major conflicts of interest with the industry, so we'll try to offer a balanced perspective, though necessarily biased by our optimism. Because we want the academic community, faculty and students, to join in using these tools, obviously being very mindful of their limitations, as
