back to my channel, and in today's video, I'll be showing you how I navigate being a remote nurse and a single mom. Um, I'm just going to take you on a brief day in a life, uh, and I'm going to show you how this virtual nursing stuff makes being a single mom just a little little little bit easier.

Um, so without holding up this video anymore, let's go ahead and get to our day. We're about to get baby girl ready to go to pre-K. It's about 8:00 a.m. Well, actually, it's like 7:45. Um, yeah. So, let's go ahead and get her ready to go to pre-K. Being a single mom was not in my plans

or in my book of life, but people change and there is absolutely nothing you can do about that. The only thing you can control and the only thing you can do is manage your own actions and pick yourself up and keep moving forward. Now, virtual nursing has been one of the ways that I've been able to manage being

a mom and a nurse, to be so honest with you, because when I worked at the bedside, my daughter was a newborn and I was flipping from days and nights and it was super challenging to try to get on a schedule and want to come home and take care of my kid, because with that

schedule, I was so exhausted. I didn't want to do anything when I got home when I was working at the bedside. So, when my daughter turned about 8 months old, I did transition into virtual nursing. That did come with a pay cut, um, but I was okay taking that pay cut if it meant

I didn't have to pay for daycare and I didn't have to pay for parking or gas. So, I went from making $35 working in the hospitals to making $32 an hour working from home just so I could keep my daughter at home with me while I was working. And that was almost 3 years ago
