Guys, I was wondering, what if I stayed in YieldMax for my retirement portfolio instead of selling it off like I did I don't know, a year and a half ago, 2 years ago, and got into much different stuff. And I wondered what those positions would look like now had I stayed in them versus what I currently

hold. So, we're going to look at my top three holdings and compare them to the top three uh that I held during my YieldMax uh journey, I guess you could say. Here is me with a wonderful pipe just contemplating what my retirement account would look like had I stayed in YieldMax and didn't make the change.

So, the biggest position of YieldMax funds that I held was AMZY. I bought this thing right from inception, and this was the last one I think I sold. I'm pretty sure this was the last YieldMax fund I held onto. And you could see its share price over time has gone down as you would expect with pretty

much every YieldMax fund given enough time. What do you think the underlying has done, Amazon? Well, of course, it's ripped. And this is where, man, I got it so wrong. I got it so wrong on many different levels when I made videos about YieldMax and holding it. I used to say, "Well, you know, it's depending

upon the underlying. If the underlying goes up, my YieldMax fund will go up." Well, given enough time, that has proven to not be true whatsoever. Matter of fact, it does the op- it's it's it's an inverse, essentially, of what the underlying does. Again, here's AMZY, and here's Amazon over the same time period.

It's not even close. So, the largest holding I have now is QQQY. So, I'm going to compare QQQY, my largest holding to AMZY. We're going to look at WMAX versus GPIQ. And we're also going to look at NVDY versus TDA Q cuz those are my top three holdings I have now. And so, here's the share price of

QQY. As you can see, it's not a massive amount of growth. It's not You could say it's flat, but still trending up over time. Not the case with AMZY at all. Just as we look at it here year-to-date, just year-to-date price change percentage, QQY is down 2% versus AMZY is down 23% from price change alone.

That's absolutely awful. This thing's trading at 10 bucks now. Wow. But if we zoom out to where they're both come out together at the same inception time, QQY is positive by 7% and AMZY has lost over half of its value at 52% from price change percentage alone. Now, price change isn't everything when

it comes to dividend funds, but it's massively important. I didn't think it used to be. I was an idiot. Maybe still am an idiot, but dividend growth is absolutely important. And you can see here from when they both came out together, QQY is positive by 3% in dividend growth. Not massive dividend growth, but

it's still positive. But had I still been in AMZY, I would be getting less and less distributions every month or every week rather, a pay decrease almost weekly. Just wretched out of YieldMax here with AMZY. Meanwhile, you know, Amazon of course keeps continuing to go up. The expense ratio is also different. Expense ratio

here at AMZY 1.09 versus QQQY expense ratio of 0.68. So, we're also saving money there. What about tax efficiency? QQQY is significantly more tax efficient than AMZY. We're going to look at total returns here in a second, but so, QQQY is better off for me cuz it has better, at least to this point,

better uh tax efficiency. It has dividend growth, which AMZY doesn't have. It also has share price appreciation growth, which obviously AMZY doesn't have, either. And then when we look at total returns, I mean, so, AMZY from from when both of these have come out is up uh 33% versus meanwhile QQQY up 43%. So, that's a

difference of roughly $1,000. And you can see where AMZY was doing much better. If you look at this chart here on the right as we zoom in, it's a gray line, but as time goes on, that people find out, like I found out with myself with the YieldMax, the total returns suffer over time. Why is that? Because

the dividends go down over time, the share price goes down over time, so therefore the total returns suffer over time. So, QQQY definitely the better option, and I made a you know, made a much better move selling out of AMZY and and having QQQY be my core over AMZY. Just a no-brainer there, so

yay, score one for the old man there of making that move and learning from my mistake. Next, we're going to talk about WYMAX versus GPIQ. Uh for a time, WYMAX was probably my second largest holding. Uh it did compete uh with NVDA. They would interchange. Sometimes NVDA would be my second biggest holding, sometimes it'd

be WYMAX. So, WYMAX right here, um we could see as with most yield max funds, well, almost all of them, uh, the share price goes down over time, given enough time. Meanwhile, GPIQ, obviously a solid, it has growth. So, what a stark difference in just their charts alone. I mean, this the chart of XY MAX and

AMZY is both while all the markets and most positions are going higher. Incredible. Price changes since they both been out together. GPIQ up 25%. XY MAX has lost well more than half of its share price value. Again, dividend growth. Look at the dividend growth on GPIQ in the blue. It's up almost 14% in dividend growth.

What a fantastic fund, right? You Not only do you get share price appreciation at a pretty nice clip, you also get a great raise every month in distributions. Meanwhile, you get a pay reduction just from holding XY MAX. You lose money just by holding it. Even if the markets and their under and and the stocks are

going up. Tsh, just dreadful. And when you look at here at total return, this isn't even close. Again, this is without dividends reinvested. This is super important because you want to live off these funds and not have to put money back in. And you can see what a massive difference between these two.

I mean, it's $3,000 difference. And, uh, yeah, so it's not even close. If you had 10,000 invested into these. Next, TDY Q verse NEVADY. Now, um, TDY Q is my third largest holding and we're going to compare it to NEVADY, but I do want to show something with NEVADY towards the end of this video,

uh, that that may still shock you. So, anyway, TDAQ, you can see their share price not a lot of growth here associated with it. I mean, it's not negative growth, obviously, but it came out, you can see, around $25, currently trading at 26. What do you think NVDA looks like over just the last 9 months?

And it it's negative, of course. And if you resume this out to an all-time chart, it's really, really negative, but for [snorts] last 9 months, this is trending down. Meanwhile, TDAQ is trending up in share price. What do you think NVDA's NVDA has NVIDIA has done for the last 9 months? Slowly trending up while, of course,

NVDA is trending down. I mean, that is not a shocker at all with how bad these single tickers and most funds have been for YieldMax. Price changes since they've been out together, TDAQ up 4% for the last 9 months-ish, NVDA negative 23% in share price alone. Let's look at dividends here. TDAQ, as

you can see here, is starting this trend of dividends rising over time. You can see we're creating higher highs. We'll see if it creates higher lows here as time goes on. Meanwhile, during the same time period, there are no higher highs and higher lows. It's just a steady downtrend. You can see now,

it was trading at 14 cents a week for NVDA, now it's trading at 9 cents a week. Meanwhile, TDAQs dividends continue to rise over time. Let's look at total returns here. This is, again, without dividend reinvested for last 9 months. You can see TDAQ is a better choice. It's up a a whole tick over in Viddy for

the last 9 months and that's the difference if you had 10,000 reinvested of shh 100 bucks or so basically. But I did want to show this, okay? Truth be told for in Viddy you can look at it versus my largest holding QQQY since QQQY and Viddy have been out together and in Viddy has outperformed

without dividend reinvested you can see the total return there at 88% versus 43% for QQQY. So yeah, there there is a difference and that's a difference of about $4,000 between the two. So in Viddy you know, for its time has done amazing but over time just like we see with all yield max

funds as long as the price continues to come down and the dividends continue to come down the total return will follow with it. There is no doubt about that. So here's a picture I took of a sunset over Table Rock Lake. I hope you like it as much as I do. Um yeah, definitely the better decision to

move on for YieldMax because this is a long-term retirement portfolio with QQQY and GPIQ and and TDY Q as my three largest holdings currently. It's not even close. It was the much better decision and I hope you learn from the mistakes that I made and when you're thinking about a retirement portfolio of
