Hey everyone, how's it going? How are you all doing? Well, today's topic is an interesting one, okay? I want to talk to you, Carol, about perhaps the most important graph in anyone's life, okay? It's a chart that people use to make literally every single decision they have in their lives. From investments, to relationships,
to family, to homes, to cars, to everything. When we talk about this graph, we naturally think, like all graphs, about the two variables that exist. The first variable that enters this graph is a variable called the return variable. What is this? Well, basically all people, all people [when they're snoring] will always imagine or think about what return
they will get from a friendship, from a relationship, from an investment, from buying a house, from eventually buying a car. So return is one of the first variables that comes into play in this graph. The second variable that comes into play in this graph is the risk or effort required to obtain this return.
[snoring] So let's put risk or return here. Carol, so when people define return and risk, this radically defines all the decisions a person makes in life, okay? I'll give you some examples. There are several situations, and we can divide this graph into four quadrants. The first quadrant, which would basically be this one here, would be a region
where the return is high and the risk or even the effort is low, okay? So, a quadrant where we have low effort and high return, that's an extremely interesting quadrant, obviously.
