Today, we take you on a unique journey with one of Ibn al-Qayyim's greatest books, a book that demolishes the fortresses of Satan stone by stone and exposes his schemes and traps throughout the ages. The book, "The Distressed One's Cracks from the Traps of Satan," Part One: The Reality of the Heart. Ibn al-Qayyim begins

his book with a profound portrayal of the perpetual struggle between humankind and Satan. He emphasizes that this struggle is neither accidental nor temporary, but rather an ancient conflict that began with the creation of Adam and will continue as long as there is a single soul on Earth. He explains that Satan knows the structure of the

human soul and is aware of its weaknesses and points of temptation. Therefore, he enters upon humankind through doors they are unaware of, employing trick after trick to ensnare them in his traps. Ibn al- Qayyim clarifies that the most dangerous thing a person faces is being heedless of... The enmity of Satan stems from the fact that he never

sleeps nor rests, while humans are heedless, negligent, and complacent. Therefore, a book was needed to reveal the ways Satan infiltrates, whether through disobedience, negligence, desires, embellishment, or doubt. Ibn al-Qayyim then asserts that the true battleground is not the limbs, but the heart. The heart is the center of command within a person; if it is sound, all the limbs are sound, and if it is corrupt,
