Today, we welcome Dr. Markus Krall, the top economist and economic expert, back to our channel for the second time, and we'll be discussing the topic of CO2 taxes and related issues. invitation. Basically, what's happening right now – raising taxes during this crisis – is economic dyslexia at its worst. What's your opinion on this measure? Taxes are known to be libertarian robbery, and this tax – why not call it economic robbery and murder, namely the murder of the functioning of our economy in this crisis? Raising taxes, especially

in an area that essentially ensures the mobility of people and goods, is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. We already pay the highest taxes on mineral oil, gasoline, and other fuels. I believe no country is known for higher rates. Now, in the name of climate protection, this chimera that this government has been in since Friday is

ordering school truancy parties. So, they're really going to hit hard again, supposedly to save the climate. Of course, that's complete nonsense. Nobody is saving the climate with those 20 cents. Instead, they're filling the huge gaps that this government's spending spree has torn in the public coffers and compensating for the revenue losses caused

by the catastrophic corona policies. And of course, ultimately, it's about fiscal cleansing. Then they'll just pick the middle class, which hasn't been ruined yet, because we ca n't adjust income tax since the income of high earners is largely guaranteed by the crisis. This is crisis management. This government is destroying things, so there are

phenomenon. The climate catastrophe, etc. Perhaps I should just elaborate on something in conclusion. Well, this whole climate discussion, this whole environmentalism, is in my eyes nothing more than a revival of the Marxist impoverishment story. The Marxist educational theory of the nineteenth century had the purpose of explaining to people that only Marxism could save people from impoverishment and that we

therefore needed a planned economy, and that then a paradise on earth for workers and peasants would come. History has shown that this was not the case, but that this planned economy The dictatorial way of controlling and directing the economy has led to people being barred from holding office, and the whole system could only be held together by violence, mass

murder, and genocide. Now comes the new version, since the Marxist impoverishment hypothesis has failed. This new version must contain a new kind of threat. This new threat is the climate catastrophe, which only exists in the crackpot minds of its proponents. If you look at the data, there is natural climate change, but there is no climate catastrophe. And the

climate change we see is what you see. The climate has existed for the last few hundred million years, ever since the atmosphere existed on this planet. There have been climate changes, and if you go back in Earth's history, even in recent history, there have been climate changes that were significantly more drastic than what we are

experiencing now and that obviously had natural causes. There are also a lot of theories about what could be the reason for this, none of them are really final and can be considered certain, so to speak. But what we consider certain... What's possible is that there is just as little truly clear evidence that this climate change

we are experiencing now is actually man-made. Even less empirical scientific evidence suggests that we are facing a climate catastrophe. A minor emergency, as one might have liked to

declare, is what they wanted to call a climate emergency a year ago. Now they're regulating such an emergency and achieving the same thing because people obviously haven't fallen for the climate hype enough. All I can say is that anyone who relies on such flimsy scientific evidence and then calls for a planned economy to supposedly

solve this problem for humanity, I say two things to them: First, the problem is real, at least according to the data. And if it were real and we actually had a problem for humanity to solve, then the question is, with which system would we accomplish it? Two years ago, the market economy and

the planned economy presented themselves. The last major problem for humanity... The market economy has won, and the planned economy has failed completely. Why, even if I believed this was a problem for humanity, would I rely on a planned economy as a mechanism to solve it, after it was the loser in the first round? That's completely

illogical. That's why I say we don't need additional taxes, we don't need a planned economy, we do n't need a green economy, and none of this whole economic charade. Instead, we need freedom for people, and then the whole issue will sort itself out naturally through the market economy. And anyone who thinks the atmosphere should be better

protected—and I agree—should establish property rights to it. Just like with fishing, the seas are always overfished when no one owns them, and pastures are overworked when no one owns them. The atmosphere is overexploited because it doesn't belong to anyone. You can trade through international certificates. You can protect the atmosphere wonderfully with economic methods,

creating costs for those who pollute and benefits for those who do n't. Polluted, I don't need all this planned economy nonsense, and then market scarcities regulate everything as if by an invisible hand, like atomic measurements, as was so wonderfully written 200 years ago, without any politician having to prove their intellectual failure. Nice closing remark. Yes, and the
