The reason the plumber down the street is showing up first on Google Maps and you're not isn't luck. For the most part, it's that their profile is alive. By this, I mean fresh posts on a weekly basis, they respond to reviews very quickly, and they're and they're updating their information every single week. The problem is as a business

owner, you probably don't have time for that, and you want to limit the amount of money you pay someone to do that. So, I figured out something for you, how to connect Claude to Google Business Profile so we can manage your Google Business Profile for you automatically. It does all the work for you on

autopilot. You don't need an agency, you don't need to to know how to code, and it's really not that expensive. Let me show you how to do it. To make this whole thing work for you, you're going to need three main things. You're going to need an account, obviously, with Claude. Either the $20 or $100 a month

subscription will be more than enough for this. I recommend you do this with Claude Co-work, which if you have a paid subscription, you will have access to. The second thing that we need is a connection that allows Claude to connect with Google Business Profile cuz natively, Claude can't just do that. The connection that's going to allow us to

do that is called Post Proxy. Now, there are a lot of these types of API applications. If that's already confusing you a little bit what that means, do not worry. Essentially, we need a nice application that is going to allow us to connect our Claude to our Google Business Profile. And Post Proxy

has that solution for us. You can see they connect your, you know, AI tool tool not only with Google Business Profile, but they can also connect it with Instagram, LinkedIn, and most of these social media accounts. So, you're going to create a fresh new account, and the pricing here, if you have a look, you can connect two

profiles for free, and that's going to allow you to do about 10 posts a month, which if it's just this is just your business, that's more than enough. If you got to pay a little bit more, the $12 a month is more than enough for this. So, make sure you check out the

link in the video description below. I'm going to make an account, and when you go to profiles, you're going to be able to connect what you want to connect. When you first create an account, it's going to actually walk you through a very easy to sign up and connect workflow, but I've already

created an account. So, if you are seeing this dashboard, what you need to go to is go to profiles here. You need to make your first connection. You need to obviously have access to the Google Business Profile that you're managing, and here we go to connect, and we're going to choose the Google account that

has access to that Google Business Profile. That's really important, otherwise this doesn't work. So, I'm going to choose that, and then it's going to ask me which Google Business Profile I want to connect. Okay. Now, I recommend you connect one more profile, and that is the social media account that your business, or the business that you're

doing this for, is the most active one. This will make sense in a little while, but for this instance, I'm going to just choose Instagram, for example, and connect that one. Oh, actually, I will do LinkedIn, cuz I got to connect mine to Anyway. Okay. Now, I've connected the Google Business Profile. I've got access

to all of the Google Business Profiles that that account has access to, and the LinkedIn profile. Great. So, now, what can this connection do for you? And also, why is it important that you do all these things? Now, there's a lot of reasons as to why your competitor might be outranking you from a map pack

perspective, but one of the most easiest thing to understand is that you really should be treating your Google Business Profile as a social media profile. You need to be very active on it. You need to respond to reviews, both negative and positive, upload images, upload photos, and be very active in there. So, one of

the things that this can do for you is reply to your positive reviews. Positive reviews, you do want to manually do them, but I find that you can't go too wrong if you let the AI do it, but obviously, you need to give it some strict instructions. So, now that you connected Post Proxy to

all your the accounts that you want to, let's make sure that we can access all the accounts via Cloud Code. So, let's make sure we connect Post Proxy to Cloud. You're going to need a couple of things. The first thing is an API key. You're going to create one, and make sure you name it where you're going to

give this API account. It's just good practice to kind of start doing that. So, I'm going to say Claude co-work, for example. Uh global access, I'm going to create key. This is going to give me the key here. I'm going to copy this one. The next thing that you probably want is some sort of documentation that we can

give Claude. You don't want to do the finicky things within Claude uh to kind of make sure that it gets access. They're a lot smarter these days. So, all you got to do is find the right documentation, which most of these kind of tools have access to them. And let's see if we

can find the right reference that I can give uh Claude to connect make the connection itself. So, I've got here the MCP documentation. I'm going to go back to my Claude account. And I'm just going to say um hey, I want I want to connect this. Um please read all the information, and

once you're ready, I can give you the API key that's going to allow you to do that. And then, what I'll do is I'll change this to Opus 4.8. Sonic can probably do it, but I'm more used to using Opus 4.8. I think that it's fairly smart. So, I'm going to give this a

second. Now, it's even telling me how to do it. Um recommended. Okay. Now, I know that in the uh to connect it, it's quite easy. We're going to go being co-work. We're going to go to We're going to go to co-work to customize. We're going to go to the extension tab here. I'm going to go to advanced

settings. And it's going to bring me to this. There's now a uh section called connections. We're going to add custom connector. I'm going to add that URL here. So, MCP post proxy. And the name's just going to be post proxy. Going to hit enter. I'm going to connect. Now, it's going to pop up the connection

from post proxy. I'm going to authorize here. It helps if you're already connected to post proxy with the same browser. It's it's and easy then. you know, you need to give it the API key. Apologies for making you get that, but at least you know where your API key if you want to do this in Claude Code. And

then open this in the desktop application. Okay, and I should be all set. Um now, here it's giving you the needs approval for everything. So, if it wants to check the status on something, if it wants to get some message or whatever you want, I'm going to just allow all. Uh I think the kind of asking it for

approval gets a bit tiring. Um but I'll let you do that. So, let's check if this is going to work now. I'm going to go to Claude Code Work and let's just double-check that, for example, it can pull the reviews that I've gotten for one of the Google Business Profiles. So, let's check here. One of the Google

Business Profiles I've got access to is called Catering and let me just see here out of the 94 reviews, which they're doing pretty well in. Let me just check maybe the last three. Then I'll call post proxy within Claude Code Work see if you can get me that information or what are those last three reviews and I

can kind of verify that the connection is working. I'm going to click on the reviews. Okay. And now on the reviews, I've got one from Claudia Rodino. It starts with "What an incredible experience." I've got with Marshall Cheng, "Super fresh food." And then Katrina Robb, "Just amazing food and service." Let's ask now within Claude Code Work to

get me those reviews. So, I'm just going to say using the post proxy MCP connection, can you please get me the last three reviews for the following Google Business Account. And I'm just going to give it this. Sometimes it gets it wrong, so Okay. And again, I've got Opus 4.8. That shouldn't matter too

much. You can probably use a cheaper model for this cuz it's not too difficult, but let's just see. Okay. And now we see that the three reviews that I just read to you are right here. So, Claudia said "What an incredible experience." Marshall Cheng, "Super food and amazing service." And the other one,

just an amazing food and service. So, cool. Fantastic. Now, we can run this thing. So, it can actually do a lot of things within Google Business Profiles, and that's why I really like the connection from Post Proxy itself, because it can not only get you the information, it can respond to the reviews, it can upload information to

that Google Business Profile, and a bunch of more things. So, what I recommend is the first the next couple of reviews that are that I think you should kind of make sure you start doing. So, the key here is to do them manually first with Claude Code, and then turn them into a schedule into Claude Code

work. Sorry, not Claude Code, into uh I use that too much, and I get confused all the time. So, the first one is okay, if it's a positive review, by positive review, I mean anything higher than four stars, you can get Claude Code just to respond very easily. And I've got here a um list

of prompts that you can give this to your Claude Code work. So, here for example, is check business profile reviews for any four to five star reviews that I haven't replied to. Uh for each one, write a short warm reply with my brand voice. Thank them by name, mention something that they said,

and then invite them back. Keep it to two or three sentences, nice and short. Now, this is really up to you if you're happy with uh Claude Code work to just respond to the positive ones. The positive ones are okay, but remember to give it this setup guide so it has a lot

more understanding about your business. You don't want it to just respond to anything kind of random, and I don't know, say regards Joe when Joe is not the name of the business owner, for example. So, that's one automation kind of done. The second one is the negative reviews. This obviously has to be

handled with a lot more care. I would recommend something like a prompt that checks if you have any reviews under four stars, and write a draft first. And that draft is calm and professional. Apologize for the experience, stay warm, non-defensive, never admit or argue in public. This is something that you don't want to do. Even if it was the

customer's fault, let's say, you don't want to admit that. You just want to say, "Hey, sorry. Would you mind um and do the following." You want to invite them to reach us directly at each this phone number so we can make it right. What this does, it gives you an opportunity for someone reading those

negative reviews cuz people do read reviews saying, "Okay, look, they had a bad experience, but they tried to rectify it as much as possible." And this actually adds more trust to your business. The next is turning your blog post from your business into a Google business post. You need to do this as

frequently as you can without kind of being too spammy. So, if you didn't know, you can go to your Google business profile and you can actually upload a post. A post can be things like a an update, an offer, an event. And if you're wondering, well, I don't really have that much content or I have I don't

have many offers that I can publish here. What you can do is repurpose the blog post that you're writing in your uh website, which you should be, and repurpose them into a Google business profile post. If you don't write that many blog posts, maybe you write a lot of LinkedIn posts, you can repurpose

your LinkedIn post. Let me show you how this would work by using this business here. We're going to repurpose one of their pages from the website to a Google business profile post, and it's going to be all done by Claude. So, let's say this is their website for the London Catering um business, and I want to repurpose this

page. Ideally, this is a blog post. They don't have too many blog posts, so I'm going to get this one, which is about uh corporate events, and turn it into a post for Google business profile. So, I've got the URL here. I'm going to go back to my Claude, and I'm going to say

um paste this one just a little bit further at the bottom. And I've got a custom set of instructions here for that. So, here's a blog post, turn it into a Google business profile post. There's some rules here, which you need to make sure that it does. Under 1,500 characters with an open

hook, uh pull out the the most useful tip, write it in my brand voice, uh and with a clear call to action at the bottom. Right? So, why you want to do that is because the Google Business Profile can't doesn't allow any more than 1,500 characters for a post, so you want to

make sure that it goes below that. If you want to be very careful, you probably want this actually at like 1,400 characters just because as smart as these AI models are, they don't tend to be very good at counting characters. Um so, you know, you want to leave some room for error there and 100

characters should be more than enough. I'm going to go back to Claude. I'm going to go paste this here, and I'm going to hit enter. And see what we get. I'm going to wait here now on the Google Business Profile, and you can see the last post that we did was about do do do do. Oops.

Where they post was about um identity and asados. Let's see, the next one should be about corporate catering. And I'm just going to allow all for this website. This is what I mean where you need to do this manually once with Claude, so you you allow kind of access to everything that you need to. In this

instance, if they did have a blog post, I'd kind of make sure that it would look at the blog pages and tell it to make sure that you don't upload any blog post that you already have in the past. Okay, so now you can see that I told it to publish and it's

publishing the post to the right Google Business Profile. And again, we want to make sure that it gets this tried to allow for this task. I'm going to allow for all tasks. And again, this is why the first time you go through this, you almost go through a bit of a rehearsal with Claude to make sure that it does it

right. So, it said that it's published it. Let's have a look here. So, I'm going to refresh this live with all posts. I got to go and click on the post section again. And there you go. There is our published post uh about corporate events, and it's even got the red button here so that if I click on the learn

more on the call-to-action button, I go to the corporate events website. So, now you can do that with, you know, as many automations as you want. The key here is to be very cautious, to practice like we just did with Claude code or or run a bit of a draft like this. And what you

can say now is you can ask it to schedule this. Remember with Claude code what you can schedule your tasks. So, once you're happy the way that it did it with the tone of voice or the way that it responded or the way that it uploads your images or your post from LinkedIn,

for example, to this kind of the the world is your oyster, any automations that you want to do there. You can ask it to schedule this. And this really depends on the frequency that you write blog posts, for example, or the frequency that you upload to your LinkedIn account, which then you can

repurpose into your Google Business Profile. So, now we did the replying to your positive reviews, drafting to the bad reviews, we turned a blog post into Google Business Profile post. We can repost from or repurpose, sorry, from your Instagram into your Google Business Profile. Maybe you uploaded a lot of images to your Instagram, for

example, that is something that you can do on a daily basis if your Instagram account is, um, you know, updated updated, sorry, on a frequent basis. The last thing that you can do is if you don't know that your Google Business Profile is filled in terms of all the information that it needs, you can ask now Post Proxy via

Claude code to update all that information there for you. And to help you get started, obviously, I'll leave all of these, uh, prompts for you to use below. This will help you complete the Google Business Profile. There's a couple of bonus prompts in there. They're not perfect by all means, they're just there to be used as a

template, as a starting point right there, right? And, um, make sure that you do this manually once with Claude. Once you're happy, then you can set it on a schedule, a schedule that fits your business. I hope that helps. I hope you like this.
